Ammo Review

For review today, we have Federal American Eagle 50-grain varmint tipped ammunition. In my area, this can be purchased at Walmart and Academy. It usually costs about $10.99 per box of 20. My M16A4 rifle loves this stuff.

For this evaluation, I shot a 5 shot group from 50 yards. You can see the results in the pictures above.

SPR
This rifle features and 18-inch White Oak Armory barrel. It might be my most accurate rifle. However, the twist was 1:7. I used a 14x scope to make the shot. Clearly, this rifle does not like this ammunition. Perhaps it is the twist rate.

SDMR
This rifle features a 20 inch heavy barrel from Model 1 Sales, with a 1:8 twist. As you can see, this rifle did like this ammunition. This group is almost as tight as I got with my M16A4. I used a 14 x scope with this rifle, as well.

M4
This rifle features a 14.5 inch barrel with a pinned 1.5 inch flash hider. It is cut in an M4 profile. Unlike the other two rifles today, this rifle is not free floated. Also, I did not have a scope on this rifle. I shot this group with a red dot.

Conclusion.
If you had told me beforehand that I would shoot a better group with an M4 than with my SPR using a 14x scope, I would have written you off as crazy. However, that is exactly what happened.

The lesson here is that some rifles like some ammunitions, and some rifles do not like certain ammunition. Always test your ammunition with your rifle.

Sudden Headshot

Picture this:
You are patrolling along, and suddenly you notice enemy movement about 200 yards out.

Can you make a head shot in one shot from that range?

For this experiment, I decided to use a couple of parameters. First, I decided to use a cold bore. Second, I wanted to try both 55 grain (M193 clone) ammunition, as well as 75 grain precision match ammunition. Additionally, I wanted to walk around for a few minutes to simulate having been on patrol for a while.

Why 200 yards?
My standard loadout ammunition, as well as that of many other people, is M193 55-grain ammunition. M193 is approximately 4 minute of angle (MOA) ammunition. 4 MOA at 200 yards is approximately 8 inches. 8 inches is approximately the width of the average human head.

Also worthy of note, is that M855 ammunition is also approximately 4 MOA ammo. M855 ammo is another common ammunition for load outs.

The Range.
For this evaluation, I did not have access to a 200 yard range. I was at a 100 yard range. Therefore, I used a half size target. A half size target at 100 yards is approximately equal to a regular sized target at 200 yards.

Caveat: both M193 and 75 - grain match ammunition will drop approximately 2 inches from 100 yards to 200 yards.

The Rifle.
For this experiment, I used my SPR rifle. It features an 18" match grade barrel from White Oak Armory. It also has a nice trigger from Gissele. My SPR currently wears an ACOG - TA31F. Therefore, I was using 4x magnification.

Note: with this setup, the point of impact for both M193 and 75 - grain match ammunition is the underside of the ACOG's  chevron reticle. Because the actual distance these shots took place from was 100 yards, I intentionally used the top point of the ACOG chevron reticle. Had the shot been taken from 200 yards, the underside of the reticle would have been used.

First, I shot the 55-grain M193 ammunition.
I walked around with a rucksack and the rifle for 10 minutes. In a sudden movement, I took a prone position, rested my rifle on the rucksack, and quickly took a shot on the target. From first contact to the shot was approximately 5 seconds.

You can see the result. The target was hit in the head region - a little low and to its left (our right).

75 - grain match ammunition results.
Next, I let the barrel cool for 10 minutes. All the while I walked around. At some point in time, a few minutes after the 10 minutes had expired, I initiated contact again. Again, I dropped to the ground, rested my rifle on the rucksack, and took a shot - this time with 75 grain ammunition.

Again, you can see the result. Dead center, maybe a tad low.

Conclusion.
If you are on patrol, and see an enemy 200 yards out, can you take and make the shot? Keep in mind, that the shot may not need to be taken at all. But if circumstances dictate taking the shot, can you make it?

More likely than not, your rifle and ammunition combination is capable of making the shot. So the question is, are you???

Train hard. Train smart.

Feminism Doesn't Work

One of the main reason that feminists are always so angry, is a very simple study. They are against concepts that have worked for the history of humanity. And they are in favor of mindsets and methodologies that simply do not work.

Feminists are against the patriarchy.
The funny thing here is the fact that no society has ever survived without a patriarchy of some sort. Even the Founding Fathers of the United States saw fit to put into position a president... at a time when most of them were most angry at a king!

Feminists are against natural gender roles.
For all of human history, man has provided, and woman has beared and reared children. Feminists believe in the "strong, independent woman." And they don't even see the irony when that "independence" happens because a man is paying thousands of dollars a month in alimony and child support.

Feminists despise men.
Indeed, feminists despise all that is the very essence of humanity as a whole. The only women that they attack are the women who wish to bear and raise children... which is the single greatest role a woman can play on this planet. Similarly, feminists hate men because they see all of the advantages men might have without taking into account all of the disadvantages to being a man.

People who try desperately to avoid reality wind up being the most unhappy people on the planet.
- Humans are meat eaters, and those who eat grains wind up being very unhappy. Even their health suffers as a result.
- Humans are pack animals. Those who resist social interaction wind up being very unhappy. Even their health suffers as a result.
- Humans, being pack animals, seek leadership. Those who deny proper leadership wind up unhappy. Even their health suffers as a result.
- Humans are created in God's image. Those that deny God wind up being unhappy. Even their health suffers as result.

Feminists try desperately to avoid reality at every turn.
Because of this, they wind up being unhappy. Even their health suffers as a result.

Who Gets the Push

This past Sunday,  I watched the WWE Royal Rumble. It was an entertaining event without a doubt. Not all of my favorites won, but that's life. In fact, the picture here is of HHH, who won the titular event at the show and, as a result of a stipulation of this year's Royal Rumble match, the WWE championship.

As I watched, my wife and I observed an interesting phenomenon. For years, the bulky muscular (steroid using?) wrestlers get the push - like HHH here. However, fans in recent years want to see different wrestlers get the push into the spotlight.

Wrestler AJ Styles made his WWE debut in the Rumble match, and it seemed he was the one most admired by the fans in the arena. Styles is anything but the muscular stereotype that has been pushed since the mid 1980's.

If there was any one wrestler who got a similar reaction, it was Dean Ambrose. Ambrose and Styles are of similar build and size. Prior to them, the most beloved wrestler seemed to be Daniel Bryan - who is even smaller than either Styles or Ambrose. And before him, it was CM Punk. Not ironically, Punk is about the same size as Styles and Ambrose.

I think the allure is not the size of these wrestlers, but rather, a combination of their personalities as well as their unique ring tactics. They use moves many other wrestlers simply don't do, and they do so to the amazement of the fans. Each of these four men is also very charismatic in his own way, which brings an air of realism to the mix. Compare that to the comic book superhero feel of the bulky, muscular beasts.

Without a doubt, there will always be room in wrestling for the muscular bodybuilder. Similarly, there will always be a place for a "giant," the small acrobat, the obese behemoth, and others. But right now, the fans want a real "regular guy" with a personality. And smart money rides with giving clients what they want to buy.

Very Odd Conversation

Recently, as I was checking in to a hotel on the job...

Me: Good evening. How are you? I am [Usagi] and I should have a reservation.

Clerk: I just about bashed your head through that wall. You gave some sudden yank of the neck.

I played nice and got the room. But it has been a while since I've run across such a strange statement out of a person who is supposed to be in customer service.

Trunk Gun

Some things to consider for your trunk gun:

You may or may not want your trunk gun to be your primary SHTF rifle. If you travel far, and have to park in areas where theft may be a concern, then you may prefer to have a relatively inexpensive trunk gun instead of your primary SHTF rifle.

If you primarily stay closer to home, and your parking areas are not a prime theft area, then maybe your trunk gun should be your primary SHTF rifle.

If you are travelling with your family, or friends with whom you would otherwise be bugging out; then maybe it would be a good idea to bring your primary SHTF rifle as your trunk gun.

As always, consult your local laws as to the legality of keeping a rifle in your trunk.

Some Small Pointers

Tips to Ponder.

1: Tape the muzzle of your rifle in rural/wilderness environments,  to keep out water, dirt, and other debris. Condoms, or 100mph tape are good to use. You can shoot through the cover if needed with no ill  effects on combat accuracy.

2: Sleep with your weapon locked and loaded, safety engaged. In case your awakened by hostile or hostile fire and have to engage bad guys RIGHT THE FUCK NOW!

3: In the morning, consider quietly replacing the chambered round. Condensation in the chamber combined with powder residue could lead to stuck cases.

4: Lube your weapon thoroughly every day in the field. A wet weapon is a happy weapon. Like your woman....Carry a bottle of lube on your first line gear. Motor oil will work.

5: Keep your safety selector switch on safe UNLESS YOU'RE KILLING SOMEONE. Don't want a negligent discharge because your fingering your trigger.

6: Keep your weapon as slick as possible. NO unnecessary crap. A light, an optic, and a sling. Mission dependant.

7: Inspect and test ALL magazines regularly.  Ensure they feed properly, inspect for bent/damaged feed lips, weak springs, etc. Mark your mags. If one fails during training/range time, THROW IT OUT. It could cost you your life !

8: Never assume your weapon is clean enough when on an Op. At a minimum, wipe down the BCG, and run a patch down the barrel.

9: ALWAYS insert mags into your pouches bullets DOWN.

10: If  a hostile has similar gear to yours, they may have plates as well. Consider hip shots. Hip shots WILL PUT THEM ON THE GROUND. And sets you up for easier head shots.

11: Practice shooting while moving. Try to master hits to Vitals, Hips, and Head while moving.

12: Be sure all velcro closures are closed before leaving on an Op. Make it part of your PCC(PreCombatCheck).

13: Become proficient in getting your mags out quickly, and under stress. Focus!

14: Snaps fail, velcro can come loose. TIE OFF YOUR GEAR! Molle makes gear unlikely to just fall off.....do you want to chance it? Run a loop of 550cord on everything.

15: Dummy Cord all important gear that you can lose. Dummy cord can be an inner strand of 550 cord. Tie off flashlights, compasses, whistle, knife, handgun, etc. Anything you don't want to drop and be without.

16: Always carry some kind of knife. Doesn't have to be Rambo. A good pocket folder can suffice.

17: Machetes are for the jungle. Hatchets tend to suck. If you need a hatchet, you probably really need an axe. Tomahawks can be multi use. And they are light weight.

18: Keep some sort of emergency SERE ration in a pocket. Enen if it's a couple boullion cubes to disolve in water, it can motivate you to keep moving. Tape a couple MRE Entrees together in a cargo pocket. Much easier to use versus trying to gather food when you should be evading.

19: Consider having every member carry at least 1 signal flare.

20: In most environments, a poncho, poncho liner, and a casualty blanket with some long underwear and maybe a fleece jacket will be sufficient for sleeping comfortably.

21: Always use the water from your ruck before using the water on your Carrier/LBE/Chest rig. This ensures you have water if you have to ditch your ruck on the run.

22: Check and Double check the straps on your ruck. Carry plenty of 550 cord. You may have to manufacture a new shoulder strap should one fail.

23: Use waterproof, or Zip lock bags to protect important gear and dry clothes/blanket in your ruck. Don't want to pull your woobie out for a nap and it be soaked.

24: Always identify and communicate rally points to your team members.

25: Base the amount of water carried on the Op and the environment. Then MAKE IT LAST

26: Try to plan water resupply points into your plan. Carry some method of water purification 2 day or longer Ops. Starting out with water for 2 or more days adds weight.

27: Ensure no one is carrying anything non mission essential that can lead a hostile back to the house, base, etc.

28: Carry writing gear!! Pencils over pens.

29: Ensure your team medic carries cough meds and antihistamines.  Don't want a sneeze or coughing fit to expose your locale.

30: Keep a basic SERE kit in a pocket, seperate from your fighting gear. Include a fire starter kit, 550 cord, flashlight, knife, water filter. In case you have to ditch all gear to evade.

31: Some gear should have SOP positions on every team member. At least 1 tourniquet should be in the same location.  Maps should be in the same location. Comms instructions should be in the same location. So everyone can grab yours quick if you go down. Leave no info for hostiles.

32: Everyone has a white, 200+Lumen flashlight. But everyone needs some sort of low power, colored light as well.

33: When on patrol, move like you are hunting. Stop moving and look and listen more than you move. Don't be predictable though. Instead of walking 50 meters and stopping for 20 seconds, mix it up. Walk for 50 listen 20, then walk 20 listen 30, ect.

34: Use terrain association more than your compass when possible. Have a point man and a compass man as 2 seperate individuals.  When you have to shoot an azimuth and run it, change direction often, to avoid setting up an enemy ambush for yourself.

35: If you need to put on sniveling gear (gloves/scarves/sock hat), never have more than 25% of your team changing at the same time.

36: If you have to change socks, and you should, never have both boots off at the same time!

37: Wear gloves. Even cheap mechanics gloves.

38: Never leave evidence for trackers. Trash, batteries you changed out, Tabasco spit, etc. ANYTHING THAT CAN BE TRACKED

39: Dig a hole or urinate in a crevice if it's not pouring rain. You can be tracked by where and how tour men urinate.

40: Camo your face and any exposed skin. PAINT YOUR WEAPON!! A solid black rifle CAN give you away.

41: When cleaning your weapon, have another functional weapon nearby, locked and loaded.

42: Unless it is pissing Rain, DO NOT urinate on rocks, leaves, or bare dirt. Dig a hole or look for a crevice. Wet spots, or dried up wet spots are easily idntiiable, even for a non-tracker. Make note that the smel of Urine travels farther if you out in the open.

43: Don't over burden yourelf with extra clothes in your ruck. One dry pair of cammies and 2 pair of socks should suffce. Mission dictates.

44: When halting a patrol for a short rest, do not ditch your ruck. Sit back and lean against your ruck, unless you are going prone. When moving into a RON(remain over night) site, do not remove your ruck until a security sweep has been done.

45: While on patrol, NEVER take the obvious course of action, and don' set a pattern in your actions, like always turnig left when button hooking back to lay a hasty ambush on your own backtrail.

46: A dead hostile's pocket/pack contents can be just as, if not more, important than his rifle. Unless the guy is packng a much superior weapon, then secure and redistribute gear/ammo/rations etc first.

Flip Flop

I offer to pay for something for someone else.

The payee accepts.

The payee says no longer necessary.

The payee changes mind... and I'm happy to pay.

But the payee changes mind again, now wants no payment.

A little later, the payee tries to make me feel guilty for owing him.

So he is paid. I've the money for the same, 50 times over, it's not a matter of whether it can be avoided... but it's a matter of the payee changing his mind.

The payee has done similar with many people in the past.

Many people.

The payee, the last time out, brings into question my ethics. Yet it is he who constantly changed his mind.

Unfortunate story from the annals.

On The Comms

Communication Tips:

1:Transmit only when necessary. Idle chatter may distract the recieving party. It may compromise his and your position. All communications may and could be monitored. Do NOT discuss the weather, sports, or anything else irrelevant to the mission.

2: Limit transmissions to 5 second intervals. Anything longer than that is almost enough time to find you with even moderate equipment. Insert breaks during longer transmissions.

3: NEVER USE ACTUAL NAMES over the air. Use Fire Team designations.

4:Always speak clearly. Never pause on the air. Know what you are going to say before you key up the mic. Also know what your response is before you key the mic. DO NOT KEY THE MIC UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO SPEAK.

5: Do not step on eachother. Always say "Over" when it is time for the other guy to talk. Always say "Break" when you are not finished, but are keeping the messages short. When 2 people are talking over the radio, DO NOT SPEAK unless you are called. BE SPECIFIC. If it can be misunderstood,it WILL be.

6: Aknowledge the reception of information with a brief repetition of it. Example- "Move your team up 200 meters to the fence line, then go North to the crest and cover the field to your west when you are ready to move." You repeat with, "Up 200, cover from crest, Copy." This lets both parties know that each other understands .

7: Do Not Get Into A Pissing Contest over the airwaves. EVER.

8: Always have an alernative frequency, and a back up to that.Make sure everyone knows these back ups and when to go to them. Use a code word, or a preset time for changing channels/freq's.

9: Change channels occasionally anyway. Even if you are not compromised, you should change channels/freq's at least every 24 hours.

10:LEARN THE MILITARY PHONETIC ALPHABET!
     Alpha     Lima           Whiskey
     Bravo     Mike           X-ray
     Charlie   November  Yankee
     Delta      Oscar         Zulu
     Echo      Papa
     Foxtrot   Quebec
     Golf        Romeo
     Hotel      Sierra
     India       Tango
     Juliet      Uniform
     Kilo         Victor

11: Use "Affirmitive" for yes, "Negative" for no.

12: Always establish who you are and who you are speaking to.
Example-"Whiskey Bravo 1, this is Whiskey Charlie 2, How Copy? Over" "Whiskey Bravo 1 here, Lima Charlie Whiskey Charlie 2. Over" "Roger that Whiskey Bravo 1, Whiskey Charlie 2, Out"

13: Speak Clearly and Effectively

Liberals Are Children

When I was first married, I'd run out late one night on an errand. When I returned to the apartment, the door was locked and my wife had applied the chain lock, as well. I was able to open the door a couple of inches before the chain caught and prevented the door from opening further.

I called into the apartment for my wife to come unlock me. However, my wife had gone to sleep in the bedroom. She couldnt hear me. Now I was a strong young man and was fully capable of destroying the chain with a single thrust. However, that would surely have damaged the door and we would, no doubt, have lost our deposit when we left that apartment.

So I drove to a phone booth (this was prior to widespread cell phone use) and called my apartment. My wife answered in a groggy state. She said she would be awake when I got back to unlock the chain.

She wasnt.

I went back to the phone booth and called again. She promised she would be awake this time, but I knew better. I told her to go to the door and unlock it. She didn't want to - afraid someone might break in between the time she unlocked the door and when I would arrive home (no more than 2 minutes at most). She agreed to go wait by the door and unlock it when I knocked.

I returned to the apartment to find she'd never gotten out of bed... and she had passed back out. Naturally, she couldn't hear me this time, either.

So I went to the phone booth for the third time. My wife was adamant that this time would be different. This time she wouldn't fall back asleep. I couldn't risk it - I was running out of quarters. I ordered her to go to the door at that instant and unlock the chain. My wife protested: what if someone broke in? I told her that was a risk she now was going to be forced to take because she had not been responsible with her assignments the first two times. She was to go to the door right then and unlock the chain.

She did so, and I was finally able to get in to my apartment without damaging anything.

The moral to this story is not to throw my wife under the bus, but rather to point out that we cannot let fear dictate our actions.

Had my wife been awake and rational, she would have realized I couldn't get in with the chain locked... and she never would have locked it. In her drowsy state, she was more prone to emotive response than rational, and so she feared assault within a two-minute window. She couldn't understand that I could not get back in.

This is how liberals, women, and gammas work - they do their "thinking" with their emotions, and not their brains. It is our responsibility to provide strong leadership and be unswayed by their emotional appeals. Logic must rule the day.

By the way, in the conversation with my wife all those years ago - how did I "order" her to the door? First, I told her she lost her privilege of having the chain locked because she refused to unlock it for me. Second, I told her in no uncertain terms that she was to stand up and go to the door that very instant to unlock the chain. She was to report back to me when it was completed and she was forbidden to re-lock the door with the chain.

Yes, it's how one might talk to a child. In my wife's sleepy state, it was the only thing that would work. And so is the case with women, gammas, and liberals. They must be treated as the children they are, unless and until they demonstrate the maturity of using logic... not just once... but repeatedly and consistently.

It's Not Common Sense

From a Libtard commenting on the President's executive orders on "gun control" -

True question, not trying to be snarky, but really wanting to hear, those of you who are opposed to common sense legislation, what specifically do you have a problem with? What part of the President's positions do you not agree with?

Actually, that's a good question.

1. The executive orders are unconstitutional.
Therefore, I have a disagreement with the way the President handled this. If you want a law, it goes through Congress and the Senate. But, that brings us to the second point...

2. Rights cannot be infringed.
A law is unconstitutional if it infringes or strips a right from an individual that is specifically protected in the Constitution. Therefore, no act of Congress could strip or infringe upon this (or any other) right. But, Obama knew he'd never get these orders through Congress anyways.

3. Criminals won't be affected.
Even if we completely disregarded points 1 and 2 (which cannot be disregarded), these changes still will not take any guns out of the hands of criminals. If anything, these edicts will only make a small number of transactions slightly more difficult between law-abiding citizens. In other words, these executive orders don't do anything.

4. These orders were not targeted at criminals.
This is the other side of the coin of point 3. One side is that only the law abiding are affected. The other side is that the criminals are not affected. This does not prevent crime. This only makes a few more things out to be "crimes." (If these orders stand up to the legal litmus test in court.)

5. Why not address the real problem?
- More people die in car crashes each year in the US than by guns.
- More people in the US die by medical malpractice than by guns.
- More people in the US die by blunt objects than by guns.
- More people in the US die by fists and feet than by guns.

Where are the executive orders on these???

Successful Hunt!

My son's first ever hunt for deer was a success. The deer was taken with a single shot of .223 Hornady hollow point - boat tail ammunition. The 75-grain projectile passed through completely, leaving an "ice-pick" style entry wound and a half-dollar sized exit wound. On the inside, the lungs were decimated and the spine severed. There was minimal meat ruined.

This 85-pound doe (dressed) dropped where she was shot. There was no tracking. No need to follow a blood trail. She died instantly. She did not thrash or kick. The other deer in her herd took off immediately.

Though no follow up shot was needed, my son had 20 rounds of ammunition in his magazine. His AR15 sports an Eotech holographic sight, zeroed at 50 yards. The shot was made, ironically, at just a bit over 50 yards.

For some reason, my son declined to eat her heart raw immediately after the kill... still trying to figure out why.

The hunt took place on a friend's property a little ways south of town. The doe was shot and gutted within an hour of our arrival to the hunting spot. The hunt occurred on a designated youth-hunt day. Several other friends hunted that same day. Some had success, others did not. My friend, who allowed us to hunt his property took his own son out later that day. His son bagged another doe. It was not his son's first deer. His son has pictures on social media of at least a half-dozen deer kills this season alone.

Some observations from conversations with my friends... hunters and others:

Hunters
Were surprised, in general, that a deer "could be taken" with a .223... much less that it was a one-shot kill and the deer dropped instantly.  Most have heard (erroneously) for years that one needs a larger caliber for deer.

Military
Were not at all surprised with the one shot kill. Most military I've met hold the 5.56 mm round in high regards. 5.56 mm is virtually the same as .223, and both can be shot from my family's AR15's.

Related side-note: the "American Sniper," Chris Kyle, had many confirmed kills of the enemy with a single shot of 5.56 mm. It's not odd that a round that can kill a 200-pound man can do the same to a 110 pound deer.

I would suggest that anyone who doubts the effectiveness of .223 either has never hunted deer with it, or may need to brush up on his marksmanship a bit. By the way, a poor shot from a larger caliber will fail to kill a deer.

Most of my military friends pointed out - "it's all about shot placement."

Odds & Ends
As of the time this was written, the deer was being processed for the meat. We will eat some and I've promised to give some to a friend who asked really nicely.

My son is hooked. The only difference is he wants a scope for next time. I might just have one for him.

I've gotta get a deer myself, next season.

Yes, I'll be shooting my AR15 when I hunt.

Woodland camo worked for us both just fine. My friend who owned the property was also wearing woodland pants. As another friend points out - for deer huntimg, the camo is for the hunter, not the deer. Deer see movement better than colors. (That's why Tennessee and most other states can have laws requiring blaze orange safety colors for hunters, yet hunters still bag deer.)

It was 52 degrees out at the time of the hunt. Downright pleasant.

Little Do They Know

Add this (overheard from someone who either has zero martial arts knowledge, or very little) to the growing list of stupid things that people outside the martial arts say about martial artists:

I have respect for Greg Jackson, but he ruined Jon Jones. He made Jones too tentative. He made Jones think too much. Jones used to react and demolish people. Now it's like he's not aggressive enough.

Folks, Greg Jackson is the reason Jon Jones has continued to have success.

Libtard Rubio

Another reason to vote for someone other than Rubio -

Rubio joins with Democrats on a bill that will deprive those accused of rape on college campuses of their right to due process.

Marco Rubio says all of the conservative things, then votes all of the liberal ways. Just like Mike Huckabee and Jeb Bush.

Uncle Bunny

A Christmas gift from my nephew (age 8) and niece (age 5). All the nephews and nieces call me "Uncle Bunny." My niece had a bit of trouble spelling it, but it's cute nevertheless.

Liberal Children

Many moons ago...

My sister has a lifelong friend (LF). There are literally pictures of them in the cradle together, all the way up to current day events. As a function of difference of age, I did not happen to see her from the time she was about 12 until she was in her mid-twenties. At the earlier end, I began college. As soon as I graduated, I married and moved away.

After the meeting that took place in her mid-twenties, she remarked to my sister (in print, no less): "your brother has really calmed down."

The irony of LF's statement was not lost on me:
All throughout school, even as a wee lad, I received marks of "plays well with others," and "very serious and studious." School teachers I've reunited with, to a man will all remark that I was so serious and adult-like. My martial arts instructor, Sensei Suarez, has made the same remark on more than one occasion. Many high school friends,  upon reuniting, comment that I haven't changed a bit.

So why the different perception?

Well, if a rock hasn't changed, but it looks different,  you must be looking at it from a different angle.

It is well known that girls mature faster than boys. However, that faster maturation comes with a cost. Namely (from the link) -
The difference between men and women in maturity, however, is that while females mature earlier in life, they also stop maturing at around the age of eighteen, as Schopenhauer aptly observes. And while men don’t catch up to women’s maturity until they reach around age twenty-eight, after that the men keep maturing - often throughout their entire lives.
Emphasis is mine.

It's not only plausible, it's entirely likely that LF's pre-pubescent mind saw certain things in one light, and her mature mind saw things a different way. For further evidence, LF was actually quite the wild child herself. Indeed, this carried through to her twenties, wherein she was married and divorced twice and had two children by two different men (one of whom was actually one of her husbands).

The purpose of this post is to point out more evidence of a fact we already know - feminists, liberals, and SJWs always lie, always project, and always emote as opposed to reason. LF is all three - liberal, feminist, and SJW.

This, and other reasons are why LF and those like her ought not be allowed to vote, and must be treated as the children they are.

Life To The Fullest

I no longer make New Year's resolutions. Too many of those are broken and forgotten. I do make commitments as needed, and here are my commitments for 2016:

- I shall see the "undsrside" of 200 pounds.
- I shall make a "pro" post every day to Facebook.
- I shall continue to prepare mind, body, and skills for the unexpected.

"Pro" posts on Facebook: I am pro-life, pro-gun, and pro-family. These could be read as anti-abortion, anti-gun control, and anti-feminism. However, it is far better to be for something than merely against something. A positive attitude goes a long way.

Last, but certainly not least...

I shall continue to live as a man: my life to the fullest.

You Asked For This

A female I knew from high school puts this on social media:
Lord let me get through tomorrow and then I'm good
#wouldhavebeen18
#anniversarynot

Let's make sure we are all in the clear here...
- You asked for the divorce, not your ex.
(Women initiate the divorce 75% of the time or more)

- You now work in a retail establishment, making just above minimum wage, and you make sure to complain about that at every turn.
(Nearly 50% of divorced women fall into poverty)

- Divorce should be a source of shame, not attention-whoring.
(But then, a lot of things used to be shameful and aren't any more)

One Size Fits All

In several different places over the past few months, I'll see a parent asking how to deal with a child who does x (insert behavior here).

At the end of the day, this is a superbly simple question to answer.

First
You must realize that people are social beings. Humans are pack animals. When you realize this, you are 90% there.

Second
People follow leaders. They do not follow those without authority. If you want authority, you must assert it in no uncertain terms.

Third
If you are a leader, and want a desired behavior, keep in mind these maxims:
- Reward desirable behavior.
- Punish undesirable behavior.
- If you do not punish behavior, it will be viewed as desirable.

Do these things effectively, and you will always have success and be viewed as a great leader:
- Communicate; especially what is and is not allowed and what is and is not expected.
- Reward / punish fairly, not based on emotion.

Do not punish based on anger.
Do not fail to punish based on compassion.
These are both signs of a weak leader.

Do you have anything to add?

To Whom?

Observed several times during this past Christmas season:
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it.

Then why on Earth would I say "Merry Christmas" instead?

- I am not politically correct, and the statement in question is.
- I would rather everyone have a Merry Christmas... not just Christians or those who otherwise celebrate Christmas. Everyone.

It's kind of like saying "if you're Christian, have a great day, if not, piss off." And that would not be my intent.
