Recently, the blog, Pulpit & Pen (herein abbreviated as PP) published several "articles" about Pastor Greg Locke, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee. It is now public knowledge, and a matter of public record that Pastor Locke is now divorced. Unfortunately, this was the subject of the writing from PP. As a matter of factual history, PP tends to write "articles" that try to tear down men and women of the ministry. Sadly, there are only a couple of exceptions to this - most notably, a minister or two whom PP puts on a pedestal, in an attempt to brown-nose said minister. As this blog has pointed out  before, Calvinism is the liberalism of the church. Well, it seems the main Calvinist denomination, the Presbyterian Church, has decided to prove it true.   A prayer to Allah  was had in a Presbyterian proceeding. Presbyterians do tend to be liberal. Watching the events unfold of the planned, organized, and well-funded "women's march" left me with an observation. In the Old Testament of the Bible, there were many false gods mentioned. However, three false gods got more press than the rest: Baal, Ashtoreth, and Molech. Volumes could be (and have been) written about these three, but let's sum up. Baal (meaning "lord") was the "supreme being" opposed to Jehova in certain areas. Other areas worshipped the god, Molech, and his consort, Ashtoreth. Some will say Baal was Molech, or vice-versa. Kafir - Arabic for " infidel ." How does one become a kafir? Simple - reject Allah, or reject that Mohammed was Allah's final prophet, or reject the teachings of the Koran (Qur'an). There are many places   to find this definition . But most of them agree pretty much down the line. Muslims have more than one category of infidel, but simply speaking, they fall into one of three different categories: 1. Christians and Jews - of "the book," but reject Allah / Mohammed. 2. Other faiths (Hindu, Buddhist, etc.). 3. Atheists. A few days ago, I saw a video wherein a pastor denounced the discovery of water on Mars as being impossible to sustain life, due to his interpretation of Acts 17:26. If you are a Calvinist, you likely know many of Calvin's teachings. You also likely know that Calvin got a good deal of his inspiration from Augustine. If you are a Calvinist, and you don't acknowledge that Augustine got his inspiration and ideas from pagan beliefs, it means one of two things: 1. You stopped right there.  This is the type of Calvinist who has read more books on Calvinism than has read the Bible. Pentecostal denominations often believe in a sort of shamanism mixed with Christianity. "Spirits will do this or that to you if you don't obey God," and "good will happen if you do obey God."
