Baltimore Thoughts

Many have asked my thoughts on Baltimore,  so here goes...

1. The Police
None of this happens without the police brutality and the murder of a man who was denied his right to a trial.
Whatever police property is destroyed is a justified casualty.
While I do not wish harm on anybody,  there is an old saying that applies here... something about living by the sword...

2. Rioting
Civil disobedience?  Sure.
Lash out at those who have harmed you? Ok.

Destruction of private property wholly unrelated to the significant events? Nope.
Looting? No way. I guess all the free food, free housing, and free welfare checks weren't enough...
Harming non-police citizens? Unjustified.

3. The Media
As usual, the media ignores or intentionally hides the real truth.
Often, the media is used as a distraction. I wonder what this is distracting us from?

That's what I think. How about you?

Admission Time

This is an admission:
I took the plunge last week.

I bought a 1911 by Para.
Of course, it's a .45 ACP.

I think every man needs a .45 pistol.
No, it won't replace my M&P as my go-to pistol for potential SHTF, but I might find a place to store it in my BOB. Never know when you might scavenge some .45.

100 rounds through it, no malfunctions. It is extremely accurate.

Caveman Does

A phrase I used to say:
"I may be fat, but you're ugly, and I can go on a diet."
Now that I've gone on said diet, it seems that phrase has lost its usefulness.

Funny Exchange

On a friend's Facebook page:

"It's sad. When a man says 'no,' it's the end of a conversation.  When a woman says 'no,' it's the beginning of a negotiation."

My reply:
"That's because when a man says 'no,' he means 'no.' When a woman says 'no,' she really means 'tell me more.' And that's not including the times she changes her mind."

Can't Make It Up

Tennessee legislator, Charles Sargent, introduces a bill to ban squirt guns.

So.

I Wish I Was Kidding

Wal Mart will not sell Ronda Rousey's new book, claiming "she's too violent."

She's a fighter for crying out loud. She gets paid to be violent.

Seriously, I wonder how many books they've made money from penned by other fighters? I wonder how many books about violence Wal Mart has sold?

Let's Make Money!

A dumbocrat lawmaker has proposed a bill that would give a $2000 tax credit to a person for "turning in" an "assault rifle."

Let's see... I can build an AR15 for under $600 right now.
Turn that in and get $2000.
Sounds like a plan to me!

Meats & Greens

My church, Global Vision, hosted a weight loss challenge. At the time of this writing,  I do not know where I placed, but I do know how I did.

We weighed in on Sunday, January 4 to start, then again today to wrap up. My results: 225 down to 212.

13 pounds in 13 weeks.

How? Simple - I ate on average 4000 calories per day. High fat, low carb. There was some intermittent fasting - maybe 4 days total. I walked or ran about 10 miles and lifted weights 4 or 5 times.

In other words, I intentionally decreased my daily exercise and increased my calorie intake. And still lost an average of a pound a week.

Now I'll be on to some powerlifting, and will likely continue to put on some muscle mass. But, for those who wonder how I did it:

Typical breakfast:
Coffee with (at least) 4 tbsp of heavy whipping cream. If I ate, it was bacon & eggs or sausage & eggs.

Typical lunch:
If i ate it was: Meat. Salad.

Typical supper:
Meat. More meat. Green - leafy veggies.

In other words:
As much meat (fatty meat is better), eggs, and leafy - greens as you want.

Unless you lift heavy weights, it is hard to gain weight eating like this.

Why I'm a Red Pill Advocate

A man ought to eat mostly meat.

A man should be familiar with exercise: lifting, running, walking, bodyweight.

A man ought to know how to dress for the occasion.
A man ought to know how to interact socially.

A man deserves the right to know how to defend himself and his family.
A man deserves the right to defend himself, his family, and his friends.
A man deserves the right to acquire whatever tools he deems necessary to defend himself, his family, or his friends.

Testosterone is not a bad thing.
Testosterone is, directly or indirectly,  responsible for the vast majority of our advances in technology.

Appeasement

Gov. Christie pardons a "criminal" whose only crime was exercising the 2nd Amendment.

Make no mistake, he is no supporter of the 2A, Mr. Christie. He is a slimy politician trying to appease potential voters for next year's presidential (R) primaries.

Testing Boundaries

From a reader:

"Mr. Usagi
You have mentioned 'sigma' and have a few posts about male interaction. I take it you are a 'Red Pill' guy?"

Answer:
To each, his own... for me: reality

Part 1 - "Shit Tests"
Anyone who has spent any time in the "manosphere" is familiar with the term "shit-test." It is basically one person giving another person shit in order to evaluate that person's fitness as a leader \ alpha \ whatever.

I've talked about the same on this blog multiple times from the behavior aspect... though typically with respect to dealing with children.  Yes, children perform shit-tests. They are more commonly called children testing their boundaries.

Shit-test = testing boundaries.
