Gun Doggy Day Care

Over a dozen times, a friend or family member has come to me and asked if I could keep a firearm safe for them. The reasons have varied. I have a "no questions asked" policy.

Why might someone need to store their gun elsewhere?
- Restraining order.
- Charged with a crime.
- Pending divorce or other high stress situation.
- Having kids over to their house and they don't have a safe.
- Letting someone stay with them who might take it for nefarious purpose.
- Mental and / or emotional health considerations.
- Home has been destroyed by fire, tornado, etc.
- Many other circumstances, far too numerous to name.

If a friend or family member is intoxicated, I would much rather buy them an Uber or go pick them up than to risk a DUI or preventable accident. There is absolutely no shame in asking me to help you in that situation.

By the same token, if things aren't 100% safe for there to be a firearm in the house of a friend or family member, I would much rather do "Gun Doggy Day Care" than to try to help pick up the pieces later. Nobody wants a firearm to be stolen or misused - nothing good comes from that. Again, there is absolutely no shame in asking me to help in that situation.

Rest assured, these daycare firearms are always kept well, and in good company. They will get to hang out with "friends."  Often, they are cleaned and inspected by a professional (me) prior to their return.

Never hesitate to call me if you are intoxicated and cannot drive.

Never hesitate to call me if you need a firearm kept safe.
