Attempting to have an intelligent conversation with a low IQ individual can be interesting.
On one such occasion, the Rifleman was stating the opinion that many people consider certain stories in the Bible as parables and not history. In this instance, Genesis 1 - 12 was the specific part.
"I have to read this literally." Came the retort.
So, I offered the following verses:
Deuteronomy 33:17 (unicorns)
II Chronicles 4:2-5 (pi = 3 and not 3.14...)
Genesis 1:16 (moon as a light source as opposed to a reflector)
1 Corinthians 14:34 (women shouldn't speak in church)
All of Revelation.
No response ever came.
