Here's one I can get behind. Legislation in Alabama is being considered that would eliminate marriage licenses in the state.
As Vox Day puts it -

The state has never defined marriage; it is an institution that long precedes the state.The state has the right to create whatever legal contractual relationships between whatever parties it likes, but those relationships are not marriage. The Alabama bill would clarify that, and would have the benefit of removing those whose marriages are religious in nature from the predations of the state's divorce courts.If conservatives want to save marriage, then this is a policy they should take to the national level.
Or, as I have pointed out - marriage as defined by the US legal system is simply a financial contract. One where one party, the female party, can take roughly half of the money & assets from the male party. And one wherein the female is enabled by the government to engage in child robbery.
Let there be civil financial contracts.
Let there be marriage.
Let the two be completely separate.
