During a recent business trip, I gave Uber a try. In the city I visited, the driver was able to pick someone up from the airport and take someone there, too. Ironically, there were PSAs at Chicago O'Hare (my connecting location) stating that same was illegal there.
The gentleman who gave me a ride was named Charles. He was a Korean War vet who had done basic training with the M1 Garand rifle.
The trip was only $20 or so, compared to a $46 cab fare just two years ago for the exact same trip.
Chalk me up as a satisfied Uber user.
