Evolution designed you to carry on the species. Your entire body is built around reproduction and rearing of young. It is the greatest single accomplishment of which you are capable.
Yet, you revel in the destruction of your own spawn.
Your ilk not only try to make the destruction of your offspring "acceptable," they actually take to the idea of making such behavior worthy of their praise.
