Yesterday, a Federal Judge in Texas ruled that the Interstate Handgun Ban is unconstitutional. The ban prevents an otherwise eligible buyer from obtaining a handgun in a state where they do not reside.

To my understanding, this does not strike down the law nationwide, only in the Federal District of North Texas. An appeal would potentially be heard by the 5th US Circuit Court. Such a ruling at that level might have national implications. Certainly if it reaches the Supreme Court, a decision would be nationwide.
