What It Is, What It's Not

Christian Inclusivism.
Universalism.

Both are terms used to spark heavy emotion when debating doctrinal issues.

Those who want to believe that only their church / belief system / heresies are the only way to God will often use these two terms interchangeably. To be fair, the meanings are substantially similar. This article will not discuss the differences of semantics on the concept, but for the sake of brevity, will concede that both concepts are so similar that using the terms as synonyms will be acknowledged as not incorrect.

What Inclusivism and Universalism do not entail, is the truth of eternal life. That truth is that God will grant eternal life to those who believe, turn from sin, and do His commands. This includes three main "religions:" Christianity, Judaism, Noahide.

All three, at their doctrinal basis, preach belief in Jehova (God), repentance, and obeying God's commands.

To be fair, some Jews and Noahides feel that Christians are heretics. Likewise, some Christians feel that Jews (and by default, Noahides) are heretics. Neither extremist group has many followers, nor much ground to stand on.

Inclusivism / Universalism is:
The belief that all religions are valid paths to God. This would include not only the three true ways: Christianity, Judaism, Noahidism; but it would also include other false ways: Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc.

Inclusivisim / Universalism is not:
The belief that Noahidism, Judaism, and Christianity are all valid paths to eternal life as spelled out by Adonai.
