WARNING: Dependapotamus sighting!

Traditionally, the term dependapotamus has carried the stigma of being dependent specifically on a member of the armed forces. In recent years, the term has grown large enough (pun intended) to swallow (again, pun intended) more meaning - it often now encapsulates those people whose very existence is dependent upon others for support.

Necessarily, the dependapotamus is inherently a member of the FSA. By that, I explicitly mean definition #1, though it is not entirely unlikely that definition #2 would also apply, if the subject were young.

Most often, a person associated with both the term dependapotamus, as well as being a member of the FSA, will be a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom). This is the case, herein. Word has it, this specimen wanted to get a divorce from a man, yet still somehow be a SAHM - dependapotamus-ing her way through life.

Oh, and there is a reason that a Google search for SAHM will yield the following results:

Yes - look specifically at the 3rd entry: "sahm depression."

Note: This is not a bash of women.
There are many intelligent, hardworking, productive women in our society.
This is a call-out of women who do not meet those definitions.
Men who do not meet those definitions are no better.
