Calvinist Lies 7

I know, I know - redundant title is redundant.

In this series, I will not debate Calvinism vs. Arminianism. After all, the majority of the people who use the term "Arminian" are Calvinists - a very small micro-sect of Christianity. The other 6-billion people on the planet refer to "Arminians" as Christians. I also like the term "Biblicist," when it comes to matters of doctrine.

Sovereign God
This is a term that literally means that God is all powerful and since He owns and has made the entire Universe, He has the right and authority to interject His will into and onto anything, at any time, anywhere. Not many Christians debate that fact. What is debated by Calvinists, is what God allows people to choose or not. When a Christian asserts the fact that God gives mankind free will, a Calvinist responds with claims of God being sovereign.

At this point, Calvinists will start reaching and twisting words (they always do).
Calvinists state that the mere claim that God granted mankind free will implies somehow that God is not sovereign. What kind of twisted mind must one have to believe this?!?! A sovereign God can easily give His creation any attribute(s) He so desires. Granting free will is "child's play" for him.

Funny thing...
If God, being sovereign, dictated every step of every man's life, then that would mean God is the author of sin. God predetermined to cause David to commit adultery in II Samuel 11 - after commanding that it was a sin to do so in Exodus 20.

He either gave complete free will or He made automatons. It is not up for debate, and there is no gray area.

Summary:
God is sovereign.
God gave man free will.
Giving mankind free will does not infringe on God's sovereignty.
