Irony everywhere

A guy I know from college has written a couple of really good blog posts on heresy in Christianity. His first of two posts, How To Believe A Heresy contains the following valid points:
1. Don't read the Bible.
2. Trust your feelings.
3. Adopt a herd mentality.
4. Avoid older Christians.
5. Stoke the fires of your arrogance.

He writes a follow-up post, How To Start A Heresy, and it also has some good points:
1. Rewrite the Bible.
2. Use isolated scripture.
3. Exploit the book of Revelation.
4. Have a vision.
5. Legitimize your movement.

It sounds like he was talking about Calvinism all along. The irony is that my friend is a self-proclaimed Calvinist.
