By request, some comments on the American Jobs Act.
The advertised benefits:
- More jobs (how is not really addressed)
- Extension of Unemployment Insurance Benefits (already at 2 years).
- Tax cuts (?)
The drawbacks:
- Costs $400B, yet only cuts taxes $175B or so.
- Extends Unemployment - which is already too long!
- Has some other hidden costs.
- Liberals really want it - isn't that enough reason to avoid?
