Seems from this article that I've been wrong to work all these years. My disposable income has been in the poverty level for quite some time, and I figured out why.

All the entitlements mean that if someone works a part-time minimum wage job, and collects all the entitlements, then they have as much money left over at the end of the month.

A Few Updates on an Older Post

This post to serve as an update on a post that is over 10 years old. The Rifleman has a strong memory (from time to time). On that post, a reader asked, "Any word? How did the remand hearing go?" For reasons that are not pertinent to this post, the Rifleman did not neglect to answer this question, but instead, postponed the answer until a more appropriate time. This time has come.  In the remand, it is important to first state a particular fact: The judge that issued the ruling, Tom Gray, retired shortly after his errant ruling. As a matter of fact, four of his last five rulings (the author's brother's ruling being one of these) were overturned in appellate courts. Divorce ruling appeal successful . My friend, Lefty, had a darn good post a couple of days ago. Let's go into why it was such a good post.  Meeting Your Polar Opposite Polar Opposites For starters, people who cannot see past the surface might notice that Lefty is a self-described introvert. This author is a self-described extrovert. That would be "polar opposite."  Climate Change Next up, Lefty made the post, which has many references to the farce that is the claim of manmade climate change. Not only that, but Lefty's post was on March 12. That date marked 32 years since the Blizzard of '93 hit most of Tennessee. In that blizzard, Chattanooga got 18 inches of snow in 12 hours - I know because I was living there at the time.
