Get Training

Smith & Wesson M&P models 2.0 now have a more pronounced trigger reset.  For any shooter worth his salt, this is not only an upgrade, but a huge upgrade.

Seen online in response:
"I've never seen the point in shooting the reset. People obsess over it but it can and does slow you down. Most of the worlds best shooters 'slap' the trigger when shooting quickly. Reset has become such an obsession that I had some shooters on my range complaining about the lack of reset on a double action revolver. Reset is fine if you're shooting slow for accuracy but when you're in a hurry, you've got a lot more to think about than that click in your trigger."

The sad thing is that this uneducated creature actually listed his employment as a Range Safety Officer.

That's why you need to get professional training.

Shutdown

The #SchumerShutdown is in full swing, and the #Libtards are having yet another meltdown. They are trying to tell stories of the folks affected by the shutdown and blame Trump.

Of course, Schumer and company voted for border defense and a Wall just four short years ago, but now that Trump wants to do it... nope.

One person took to Twitter for sympathy, pointing out that he works for the TSA and lives paycheck to paycheck.  Pro tip: of you want sympathy, don't mention you work for the TSA.

But that got the Rifleman to thinking... I don't really care about the government shutdown, but why? I guess one part is that being a Sigma, and add to that the fact that my mom would try to play the sympathy card with us growing up on everything - maybe what few f*cks I had left were all spent early on in life.

But that's not all, here's a not all-inclusive list of why I don't have any sympathy for the government workers who are currently on furlough:

You can't get a job anywhere else.
Let's face it, you work for the government because you cannot hack it in the private sector. You literally have nothing of value to offer society.

You knew this was gonna happen.
How many times has he government shut down in recent years? If someone monkeyed with my money just once, I'd be out. I sure as hell would not stay there for year after year while they predictably monkeyed with my money.

You are a leach on society.
Yes, you heard me right. There is so much government waste... And your job is most likely part of that. My life, and the lives of millions of Americans are not affected in the least bit when you aren't working. That means your "job" is unnecessary.

Did I miss any?

Funny Exchange

Him: "Blah blah lie lie..."
Rifleman: [cuts him off] " You may dispense with the bullshit."

Him: "Excuse me?!"
Rifleman: [more clearly and very deliberately] "cut the BS."

Him: "I don't deserve to get cussed out because I'm doing my job!"
Rifleman: "Your job is to lie to people?"

Him: "Are you calling me a liar?!"
Rifleman: "Yes."

Him: [bows up, as if to posture before a fight]
Rifleman: [sly smile]
Him: [backs down, realizing he is 5'6", compared to the 6'2" Rifleman... and also realizing the Rifleman's employer is a martial arts dojo.]

Rifleman: "Have a nice day."

A Legacy

Every man needs to leave behind a legacy. Part of that legacy is family - more specifically, children. And the children ought to be raised well.

Other types of legacies can include financial legacy and impact legacy. A wealthy man leaves money and valuables for his heirs. Not every man can do this, however. But every man can leave an impact legacy. Someone whose name is carried on for his contributions.

The martial arts masters leave an impact legacy.

The Rifleman spent his first 43 years acquiring skills and things that would help leave a legacy. With the passing of my father recently, it has become incumbent upon me to devote myself in earnest to leaving a legacy.

I shall make my legacy this: to leave behind a legacy of riflemen.

Gun Free Doesn't Work

We got to see WWE Live in Nashville on Friday night. This discussion was had between my daughter and I:

Rifleman: "My hip feels cold at 4:00."
Cakes: "Oh, because you had to take your gun off?"

Rifleman: "Yes."
Cakes: "Well, it's for safety."

Rifleman: "Do you feel safer?"
Cakes: "No."

Guns And People

From  this video - some gun statistics:

#Libtards often say "guns are not used very often for self defense." (Compared to accidents, crime, etc.) Of course, they never provide statistics on this claim. Also, #Libtards will say that a gun is more likely to be taken away from you and used against you, then for you to use it in self-defense. Again, they do not provide any statistics to this claim.
Fact: a privately owned firearm is 80x more likely to be used for self-defense than to be used for homicide + suicide + accidents, combined.

3 out of five felons would prefer not to have an armed victim.

Things that burglars fear most:
1. Armed homeowners
2. Dogs
3. Police
(In that order)

#Libtards love the UK, because of the gun ban.  Facts on violent crimes per 100,000 persons:
UK - 2034 violent crimes
US - 466 (and much less if you remove the 5 largest cities with gun bans)

Since 1950, with one exception, ever public mass shooting was in a gun-free zone.

Average deaths in a shooting frenzy when the suspect is shot:
- by police: 14.3 deaths.
- by citizens: 2.3 deaths

In 2007, police shot 606 criminals. Citizens shot over 1600 criminals.

The Rifleman would like to extrapolate the last three. I would pose that most mass shootings are in gun free zones because of two reasons:
- criminals know the good people aren't armed.
- maybe more start in gun carrying zones, but get stopped early (2.3 death average), and thus do not qualify as a "mass" shooting.

Literally

Attempting to have an intelligent conversation with a low IQ individual can be interesting.

On one such occasion, the Rifleman was stating the opinion that many people consider certain stories in the Bible as parables and not history.  In this instance, Genesis 1 - 12 was the specific part.

"I have to read this literally." Came the retort.

So, I offered the following verses:
Deuteronomy 33:17 (unicorns)
II Chronicles 4:2-5 (pi = 3 and not 3.14...)
Genesis 1:16 (moon as a light source as opposed to a reflector)
1 Corinthians 14:34 (women shouldn't speak in church)
All of Revelation.

No response ever came.

Diet Tea

Pops used to call unsweet tea, "Sour Tea." That changed a bit over the years to "diet tea." I suspect that the reason it changed is because more folks understood what "diet tea" was over "sour tea."

Well, sure enough, the other day I saw a brand of tea which was unsweetened labeled,  "Diet Tea."
Wish I could have shown Pops.

Christmas Songs

Since We have people crying and complaining about the song “Baby it’s Cold Outside” and wanting it removed from radios and stores playlist because someone can/will/and already is offended, I feel that these other holiday songs must also be removed as they are offensive as well. Do so immediately.

1. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus: subjecting minors to softcore porn
2. The Christmas Song: Open fire? Pollution. Folks dressed up like Eskimos? Cultural appropriation
3. Holly Jolly Christmas: Kiss her once for me? Unwanted advances
4. White Christmas? Racist
5. Santa Claus is Coming to Town: Sees you when you’re sleeping? Knows when you’re awake? Peeping Tom stalker
6. Most Wonderful Time of the Year: Everyone telling you be of good cheer? Forced to hide depression
7. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: Bullying
8. It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas: Forced gender-specific gifts: dolls for Janice and Jen and boots and pistols (GUNS!) for Barney and Ben
9. Santa Baby: Gold digger, blackmail
10. Frosty the Snowman: Sexist; not a snow woman
11. Do You Hear What I Hear: blatant disregard for the hearing impaired
12. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas: Make the yuletide GAY? Wow, just wow
13. Jingle Bell Rock: Giddy up jingle horse, pick up your feet: animal abuse
14. Mistletoe and Holly: Overeating, folks stealing a kiss or two? How did this song ever see the light of day?
15. Winter Wonderland: Parson Brown demanding they get married…forced partnership
FYI if you actually read this I was joking but thank you for being logical, reasonable, and not jumping to conclusions.

The Senate

With the runoff victory of Cindy Hyde-Smith in MS, the US Senate is now poised to be a 53-47 advantage for Republicans.  This was the magic number that was needed.

Why not just 50, with VP Pence the tiebreaker?

In one word - Traitors. It used to be that we had to worry about McCain, Collins, and Murkowski on every vote - and particularly when it was a vote of major importance.  Well, Collins and Murkowski are still there. McCain had the ultimate term limit enacted by Our Creator.

Yes, Romney is now in the Senate and will likely play the same role of Traitor that McCain once played.  However, this still leaves Republicans with 50 votes, plus Pence.

And that, folks, will help us keep our Republic a bit longer.

Stupid is as Stupid Does

Some folks' cornbread ain't done in the middle.

Like the mother of this child - named the poor kid "Abcde."
