Taking Them Away

Take away the guns. It's the Left's response to sshootings. It's also the most infantile response one can have.

When a child misbehaves with an object, a common solution is to take away the object so the child cannot repeat said action. Now, wily 3 year olds notwithstanding, the children typically do not have the wherewithal to obtain that object, if it's properly put away. The child cannot manufacture a new one. The child cannot meet up with an illicit dealer and obtain the object on the black market.

Hopefully, by the time the child is old enough to have the means and ability to do these things, the parents have taught the child right from wrong. But, that young person, if they are inclined to obtain something they don't have, will usually be able to - whether they mean to do right or wrong with the object.

Taking things away works for 3 year olds, but not for 33 year olds. That's why gun control never works.

He Doesn't Have to be Perfect

God doesn't call the perfect. He perfects the called.

Lefty points out that President Donald Trump is not a oerfect man, and that doesn't matter to most on the Right. President Trump is doing what we sent him to Washington to do.

Look to the Bible - the only perfect man was the messiah, Jesus the Christ. The rest had... problems.

Moses murdered a man. But God chose him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt.

David was an adulterer and a murderer, and God used him to be one of the most influential figures of the Old Testament.

Paul was also a murderer, yet he was the most evangelical figure in the New Testament.

Keep on looking - you won't find perfect people in the Bible. You'll find sinners who did as God instructed them, thereby accomplishing more than they ever could have alone.

The Rifleman cares not about alleged adulterous engagements by the President. In truth, the Left doesn't either - hello, Bill Clinton?  The Left simply tries to weaponize anything they can get their hands on against the most Right leaning President in the history of our great country.

Paid Activism

15 minutes of fame for David Hogg, the crisis actor who is the face of the Left's most recent push for gun control. 

As with all leftist talking points, there are many holes in the arguments he makes when he's in front of a camera. The most notable is that he feels that a school mandating that the students use clear backpacks, violates his personal rights. Of course, he sees no irony in the fact that he is trying to push for the violation of the rights of all Americans, by stripping away the Second Amendment.

The motives of the Left are plain as day. As Chateau Heartiste points out, there will be no compromise. The only options are:

1. The Left capitulates
2. The Right capitulates
3. Secession and separation

The third will be messy. 

Omnibus Thoughts

The Rifleman's take on the Omnibus bill.

1. Even if wrong, the Rifleman will not turn on Trump.
Lefty details it better than the Rifleman could: "So if you’re turning on Trump because of this omnibus bill, then congratulate yourself because you just got played by the swamp."

Those who complain about Trump losing at "4D chess" are those that cannot play checkers, much less understand chess. Don't believe the Rifleman? Ask them to articulate what an en passant is and why it is important.

"It’s not an official ‘Federal Budget’. It’s an Omnibus bill. He outsmarted them again, and Congress basically screwed themselves by not passing a Budget. Per the Constitution, the President must adhere to a Budget set forth by Congress and direct the expenditures as provided therein.

An Omnibus Spending Bill may have some ‘instructions’ as to how the money will be spent, but Obama ignored them. He spent the money, or didn’t spend it, however he wanted to. Congress didn’t do a thing about it! Because they couldn’t.

I think our President observed how this happened, year after year.  He is bound to realize that those ‘appropriations’ for different things in these Omnibus bills are merely ‘suggestions’. So, like Obama, President Trump can spend this money on whatever he wants to. Or not spend it.

What if our President decided to tell the Treasury Dept to ‘slow-walk’ that money to Planned Parenthood, until the Senate gets off their ass and confirms his appointees? What if our President decided to ‘slow-walk’ money to sanctuary cities, until they assist ICE in rounding up criminal illegal aliens?

Our President could just say 'Congress should have passed a Budget.’

Again, that is why Obama never had a Budget in his Presidency. Congress did continual Omibus bills and he just took the money for 8 years, and no one seems to know where it went."

1998 was the last time we had a balanced budget passed. 20 years. Bill Clinton kicked the can down the road for two years. W kicked the can down the road for 8 years. Obunghole kicked the can down the road for 8 years. Trump kicking the can down the road for one year won't make us or break us.  He said he won't sign another one. Let's give him a chance to make good on that. 

Living on the Edge

We are taught at an early age how to have civil discourse. Societal rules established so that all might have a voice at the table. But some do not adhere to the rules. As with any action, there are pros and cons to this behavior. One must always examine the trade offs and evaluate them in light of the desired outcome. But how do people bend or break these rules, and why?

An Alpha male will occasionally ignore societal rules. Typically, this is when there is a challenge to the natural order of things, and the Alpha must respond in kind in order to preserve the rank structure. Preserving the rank structure is, by default, preserving society as a whole.

A Sigma male sees the rules of society, understands them fully, and elects to operate outside them. This is a calculated behavior as the Sigma realizes the constraints, and needs to work outside the constraints for a specific reason. The mission is more important than the structure of society. However, the mission is not one to destroy society, but often helps, instead.

A Gamma male has Alpha aspirations, but lacks in the results department. The Secret King operates outside the rules of society because people just cannot see why they shouldn't follow him and his rules. In reality, he creates his own rules outside of society because he cannot come to grips with accepting the rules already in place... and his only because the Alpha is in charge and not he, the Gamma.

Betas and Deltas generally do not break rules of society. Women who consistently break the rules of society are broken people. Sadly, modern culture has too many of these broken women. Omegas live outside of society, but generally do not break rules... unless they are worked into enough of a race to actually do something.

Just Punishment

It is frequently seen online: a member of the Left will denigrate the Bible and God, Himself, using as their rationale the fact that God ordered "genocide." It is true that God ordered the Israelites to wipe out all the Canaanites, that much is not in dispute. But was it truly genocide?

First, it was not genocide - the extermination of a racial group. Genetically speaking, the Israelites were Semitic people. Similarly, the Canaanites were Semitic people. All were descendants of Abraham. So, members of a race killing other members of a race does not fit the definition of genocide. The genetics would be maintained, just through the Israelites, and not the Canaanites.

But why kill the Canaanites? Simple - their "society" had devolved into a culture of vile sexual offenses, child sacrifice, and the rejection of God.  Link to an essay on this very subject matter. Among the vile sexual offenses: bestiality, incest, rape, homosexuality, etc. Child sacrifice was used as modern abortion methods hadn't yet been developed. Even these cretins knew the offspring of incestuous coupling would not promote their society. Similarly, the killing of the children of single mothers provided the guilt free lifestyle we see being pushed in modern America.  Another detailed article.

So, the Lord ordered the death of murderers - capital punishment. It's fair to say their entire "society" was corrupted. The women were not innocent, they assisted in the crimes against humanity. The children who hadn't been killed, had been indoctrinated in these unnatural practices - they would surely resurrect the practices when they came of age: much like modern Moslem children participate in suicide bombings and the like.

The real fear of the Left is that they might be justly punished in the same manner. That's why they work so mightily against the Lord.

For Each Generation

Seen on social media:
Today in school we practiced our active shooter lockdown. One of my first graders was scared and I had to hold him. Today is his birthday. He kept whispering "When will it be over?" into my ear. I kept responding "Soon" as I rocked him and tried to keep his birthday crown from stabbing me.

I had a mix of 1-5 graders in my classroom because we have a million tests that need to be taken. My fifth grader patted the back of the 2nd grader huddled next to him under a table. A 3rd grade girl cried silently and clutched the hand of her friend. The rest of the kids sat quietly (casket quiet) and stared aimlessly in the dark.

As the"intruder" tried to break into our room twice, several of them jumped, but remained silently. The 1st grader in my lap began to pant and his heart was beating out of his chest, but he didn't make a peep. Eventually, the principal announced the lockdown was lifted.

I turned on the lights, removed the table from in front of the door, opened the blinds and announced "Let's get back to work. " I was greeted with blank faces... petrified faces.... tear stained faces... confused faces... elated faces...and one "bitch REALLY?" face.

This is teaching in 2018. And no... I don't want a gun. #teacherlyfe



When the Rifleman attended school, we did virtually the same thing. Atomic bomb drills. "Duck and Cover," they called it. At least with an active shooter, you can fight back or run away.

What Did They Protest?

Protesters who do not know what they are protesting. Millennials may be the first generation to protest to have their rights taken away. Pictured is one protester whose total ignorance is made abundantly clear. 

On this protester's pullover is a picture of a Spartan helmet, along with the phrase, molon labe. Molon labe was the phrase yelled by Spartan warrior king Leonidas. When told by his enemy to throw down his weapons,  Leonidas replied "molon labe" - come and take them. The clear sentiment was that his weapons would not be taken without a fight.

The ignoramus pictured also holds a sign which reads, "NRA, there is blood on your hands." The clear meaning is that she feels guns are evil and must be banned.  Of course, no NRA member has ever been the shooter in a mass murder.  The NRA doesn't sell guns. 

Yet another sign at a protest. This time, the sign reads, "Donald Trump if your place of work is a gun free zone, then why isn't mine?" Naturally, this is equally as asinine as the first photograph, as schools are gun free zones. Schools have been gun free zones since 1990 (hmmm...), with the Gun Free School Zone Act.

Summed up, the protests were not really protests, they were propaganda demonstrations.  Most of the children who "walked out," did so because they would be punished if they hadn't, or because kids like to get out of school. The few who actually did protest fall into one of three main groups: anti-American thugs, idiots, or globalists with evil intentions.

Gammas Double Down

The Rifleman had said he would keep quiet about #FakeNews and #FakeChristian blog Pulpit and Pen and their apparent #mancrush on Pastor Greg Locke. Well, the cyberbullies at PP have sunk to a new low, and it must be brought to light. 

On Thursday, March 15, Pastor Greg Locke spoke at a revival service held at Benchmark Church in Oliver Springs, TN, by invite.  PP had attempted to reach out in advance to the Pastor of Benchmark, with hopes of thwarting the revival sermon. Pastor Benjamin Blankenship of Benchmark made it abundantly clear that Pastor Locke would be welcome despite the false allegations. This attempt, by itself, is unwarranted and completely classless. 

They took it a step further.

No, not a step further... a mile further.  PP crossed lines that should never be crossed.  Gamma males doubled down and refused to accept life as it is.  Pulpit and Pen admin Tim Weakley showed up at Benchmark Church and disrupted the service. He was, understandably, removed from the premesis. 

Naturally, Tim Weakley and PP claim he was assaulted in the process of his removal.  Nevermind the fact that he was in clear violation of several laws, not the least of which was TCA 39-17-306:
(a)  A person commits an offense if, with the intent to prevent or disrupt a lawful meeting, procession, or gathering, the person substantially obstructs or interferes with the meeting, procession, or gathering by physical action or verbal utterance.

(b)  A violation of this section is a Class B misdemeanor.

For the record, a Class B misdemeanor is punishable by up to six months in jail, a fine of up to $500, or both (TCA 40-35-111).

Then, of course, there is trespassing (TCA 39-14-405):
A person commits criminal trespass if the person enters or remains on property, or any portion of property, without the consent of the owner. Consent may be inferred in the case of property that is used for commercial activity available to the general public or in the case of other property when the owner has communicated the owner's intent that the property be open to the general public.

Rifle Class Basics

How not to be "that guy" at your rifle class. 

Note that the specific type of rifle class is not specified. Instead, this piece will focus on both marksmanship and tactical classes.  Hints for one will generally hold true with the other. 


Bring the required equipment. 
You wouldn't believe the number of people who do not bring simple things to a class (including a rifle!) that are plainly listed.  Make sure to make a list and check off each item as you pack it.

Avoid steel cased ammo.
"That Guy" will say, "but I'm going to shoot xxx rounds!!" And he will have issues all day. And he wonders why the other folks rifles are working fine.  Because his buddy had "no issues" with the same steel ammo. 

Steel cased ammo is not accurate enough for marksmanship classes. Steel cased ammo is not reliable enough for tactical classes. 

Hand loaded ammo falls in the same category.  Don't bring it. 

For a marksmanship class, do not rely on flip up sights.
These sights are for backup only.  They are generally not going to have tight enough tolerances for precision work. The Rifleman has yet to see someone be able to make 5 hits on an Army 300 m zero target from 25 m, using flip up sights. One exception was $200 Diamondhead sights. 

For a tactical class, do not bring a high power scope.
Yeah, these aren't made for tactical classes.  It shows. 

Avoid "El Cheapo" optics. 
If your optic was less than $200 new, it's probably not gonna survive.  If it was under $100, it will fail.

Bring this gear:
Your range bag.
Stapler and staples.
Eye protection - clear and smoky.
Ear protection.  Electronic is often best. 
Tape.
Sight adjustment tool(s).
Allen wrenches (English & Metric).
Star wrenches.
Food & water.
Sunscreen & bug spray.
Pen and paper!!

There are a few definitions that we need to establish in order to make a determination here.

Bearing false witness is to give testimony in a court of law that is false. In our modern society, it is not a stretch at all to include giving false statements to the authorities. Since law enforcement are typically acting as part of the legal system - the courts - they are an extension of the courts.

Slander is the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation.

Libel is a published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation.

Essentially,  slander is to say something false that results and defamation, libel is to write something false that results in defamation. Both slander and libel are types of defamation  (also including calumny, vilification, or traducement) - the communication of a false statement that harms the reputation of an individual, business, product, group, government, or a nation. For this essay, the focus shall be placed upon the individual.

Naturally, not all Bible verses pertaining to slander, libel, and speaking ill about one's neighbor are included in this article. There are too many to list and quote. Needless to say, the Bible is very clear that these things are sinful  actions.

But, do all lies fall into this category?

In a word, no.

Suppose that a criminal breaks into your house and hold a gun to your head. Your family is hidden in another room. The criminal asks you if there's anybody in the house with you. In an effort to save your families lives, you reply, "no."

In this situation, the statement is clearly a lie. However, it is not slander, libel, or bearing false witness. To go a step further, it is not a deception that results in harm to one's neighbor. Much the opposite, this lie could actually preserve life.  Such a lie would not be a sin.

As a different example, supposed person were involved in a car collision. They tell the insurance company that they suffered health issues as a result of the collision. However, in reality, they suffered no ill-effects. This person is just trying to help out his doctor friend, or wants to collect the money for himself.

This lie would most certainly be a sin. Additionally, this would constitute insurance fraud.

As a third example - suppose a father asks his daughter if she has cleaned her room. The daughter answers that she has cleaned her room, when, in fact, her room has not been cleaned.

This lie is an example of a sin. Thankfully, failing to clean a room does not constitute a violation of the law in most precincts. Nevertheless, the daughter has lied to her father. This constitutes bearing false witness, as the father would be needing this information in order to pass good judgement for the running of his household.

There are countless other examples. However the crux of the matter is the intent of the lie. If it results in a faulty judgement by a person in authority, it will typically be regarded as a sin. If it results in harm to your neighbor, it will typically be regarded as a sin. Please note that one's enemy is the exact opposite of one's neighbor. So, generally speaking, deceiving the enemy is certainly not bearing false witness.

And, as with all things, these are generalizations. Each individual instance must be judged on its own merits.

How Civil Wars Happen

How do Civil Wars happen?

Two or more sides disagree on who runs the country. And they can’t settle the question through elections because they don’t even agree that elections are how you decide who’s in charge.

That’s the basic issue here. Who decides who runs the country? When you hate each other but accept the election results, you have a country. When you stop accepting election results, you have a countdown to a civil war.

The Mueller investigation is about removing President Trump from office and overturning the results of an election. We all know that. But it’s not the first time they’ve done this. The first time a Republican president was elected this century, they said he didn’t really win. The Supreme Court gave him the election. There’s a pattern here.

What do sure odds of the Democrats rejecting the next Republican president really mean? It means they don’t accept the results of any election that they don’t win. It means they don’t believe that transfers of power in this country are determined by elections.

That’s a civil war.

There’s no shooting. At least not unless you count the attempt to kill a bunch of Republicans at a charity baseball game practice. But the Democrats have rejected our system of government.

This isn’t dissent. It’s not disagreement. You can hate the other party. You can think they’re the worst thing that ever happened to the country. But then you work harder to win the next election. When you consistently reject the results of elections that you don’t win, what you want is a dictatorship.

Your very own dictatorship.

The only legitimate exercise of power in this country, according to Democrats, is its own. Whenever Republicans exercise power, it’s inherently illegitimate. The Democrats lost Congress. They lost the White House. So what did they do? They began trying to run the country through Federal judges and bureaucrats. Every time that a Federal judge issues an order saying that the President of the United States can’t scratch his own back without his say so, that’s the civil war.

Our system of government is based on the constitution, but that’s not the system that runs this country. The Democrat's system is that any part of government that it runs gets total and unlimited power over the country.

If the Democrats are in the White House, then the president can do anything. And I mean anything. He can have his own amnesty for illegal aliens. He can fine you for not having health insurance. His power is unlimited. He’s a dictator.

But when Republicans get into the White House, suddenly the President can’t do anything. He isn’t even allowed to undo the illegal alien amnesty that his predecessor illegally invented. A Democrat in the White House has “discretion” to completely decide every aspect of immigration policy. A Republican doesn’t even have the “discretion” to reverse him. That’s how the game is played. That’s how our country is run. Sad but true, although the left hasn’t yet won that particular fight.

When a Democrat is in the White House, states aren’t even allowed to enforce immigration law. But when a Republican is in the White House, states can create their own immigration laws. Under Obama, a state wasn’t allowed to go to the bathroom without asking permission. But under Trump, Jerry Brown can go around saying that California is an independent republic and sign treaties with other countries.

The Constitution has something to say about that.

Whether it’s Federal or State, Executive, Legislative or Judiciary, the left moves power around to run the country. If it controls an institution, then that institution is suddenly the supreme power in the land. This is what I call a moving dictatorship.

Donald Trump has caused the Shadow Government to come out of hiding: Professional government is a guild. Like medieval guilds. You can’t serve in if you’re not a member. If you haven’t been indoctrinated into its arcane rituals. If you aren’t in the club. And Trump isn’t in the club. He brought in a bunch of people who aren’t in the club with him.

Now we’re seeing what the pros do when amateurs try to walk in on them. They spy on them, they investigate them and they send them to jail. They use the tools of power to bring them down.

That’s not a free country.

It’s not a free country when FBI agents who support Hillary take out an “insurance policy” against Trump winning the election. It’s not a free country when Obama officials engage in massive unmasking of the opposition. It’s not a free country when the media responds to the other guy winning by trying to ban the conservative media that supported him from social media. It’s not a free country when all of the above collude together to overturn an election because the guy who wasn’t supposed to win.

Have no doubt, we’re in a civil war between conservative volunteer government and a leftist Democrat professional government.

Chain Migration Virtue Signalling

I dare somebody to comment on this post about how bad chain migration is for this country. Or about how easy the immigration process has been for decades in the USA. Or about how we need tougher border agents.

You don't know what it's like until you've been removed from a vehicle while border agents threaten to tear apart the trailer containing all your earthly possessions. You don't know what it's like to wait in an airport with your kid brother while border agents interrogate your mother for hours, making you late for your flight to catch up with your father who is already in the United States. You don't know what it's like to find out that your aunt is being detained for months away from her family.

These are all real things that really happened to me and my pasty white law-abiding Canadian family members during their many years on their way to legal American citizenship.  I can't imagine what it's like for someone from a "s***hole country". And before you say, "but that's what it's like in other countries", I would like to inform you that my father went through the process to become a Canadian citizen, and you would be sorely mistaken.

Feel free to ask me questions and to learn about the actual process and hurdles of immigration from someone who has seen and lived it vs. someone who wants to make it worse. You can even debate the finer points of immigration law with me. But if you are tempted to leave a comment that insults my mother, my brother, or any other human trying desperately to legally obtain citizenship, kindly remove yourself from my friends list. The beginning of this story is really some important background information. It is important to know that as a practicing Sigma, The Rifleman has a really high DGAF meter. The Rifleman also subscribes heavily to the three fundamental Alpha Responses. This one is an example of Agree & Amplify.

Middle
For this story, the middle shall consist of what happened. The Rifleman was in a sporting good store, and the cashier happened to be black. She was flanked buy a black co-worker. The Rifleman was paying for some ammunition... big surprise, huh?

In the course of normal conversation, The Rifleman mentioned that he was planning to see the Black Panther movie. As if on cue, both (black) women raised a fist in the air, in the black power salute.

Immediately, and without word, The Rifleman replied with a salute of his own:

The Seig Heil salute.



Naturally, both women were stunned. One with mouth agape. The Rifleman casually picked up the ammo he had just paid for and walked out.

Naturally, The Rifleman is not a National Socialist (Nazi), not even close. The fact remains that even if you do not see race, race sees you.



The End
This Got The Rifleman to thinking. The Rifleman also observed later in the evening, at the Black Panther movie, there was no coincidence that the bulk of the audience was, indeed, black. It was also observed that the movie clearly supported such ideals has nationalism, a degree of isolationism, anti diversity, and traditionalism, among other things. Those who were there to Simply see a black hero seemed to leave the movie disappointed.

Perhaps some of the movie goers there that evening were expecting more black power than they got. In fact, the only black power person in the movie, was the villain. Perhaps that's why so many left as soon as the credits started rolling.

With a typical Marvel movie, a good portion of the movie goers stay around until the end of the credits. They do this because Marvel typically puts short clips in the credits to tease future movies. In that theater that night, all but three moviegoers left as soon as the credits started rolling. The only three who remained were white, The Rifleman being one of them. The bulk of those who left - over 50 moviegoers  - were black

Black Panther Reviewed

This is a review of the movie, Black Panther, a Marvel Comics superhero.

The above meme covers the bulk of the Rifleman's political observations on the movie. The Rifleman would at this though, the primary bad guy in the movie was the so-called "Black Power" pedler.

The acting was what you would come to expect from Marvel Comics movies. Same for the action. The action was good, not the best the Marvel has ever offered, but solid. Unlike Captain America: Civil War, this was not a superhero fest.

While the so-called critics are giving this movie top marks, saying things like "innovative," "cutting edge," and "unlike any Marvel movie prior," the fact of the matter is that this movie is a typical introduce the new hero movie.

In a typical introduce the hero movie, the hero is pitted against a villain who has similar attributes and powers. Iron Man had to face off against an evil man in an Iron Man type suit. Captain America had to face off against an evil man, Red Skull, who was an enhanced via the super soldier serum. Hulk had to Face Off against an evil version of the same, Abomination. The same is true for Ant-Man, and virtually the same for Spider-Man, as well.

Black panther was no different. He had to face off against an evil man who was enhanced via the same potion, and wore a similar suit. To Marvel's credit, the main villain, Killmonger, had a somewhat more interesting facts story than the typical villain. But, in the end, it was the same rehashed thread.

Curiously, the only superhero for whom this pattern was not true, was Thor.

Overall verdict hyphen three stars out of five. Solid movie, but nothing groundbreaking. That said, a solid movie these days is far better than the bulk of the crap that Hollywood puts out.

If Confiscation

If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.

With all of the talk of gun control lately, it is important to analyze the enemy, and prepare for the most likely courses of action. Naturally, the only enemies a gun has are rust and politicians. Dealing with rust is easy - it is preventative maintenance, clean and oil them regularly.

Dealing with the politicians is a bit more problematic. So let's dive into the primary plan and The Back-up Plan.

The primary plan is easy - it is unlikely that the House, the Senate, and the President all sign-off on gun control measures.  Sure, the Senate may pass something, because of all of the feckless #Cuckservative Republicans that are in the Senate. Only a third of the Senate is up for election in any given election cycle, so Senators frequently rely on voter forgetfulness and time healing wounds.

That said, Congress is up for election every cycle. Congressmen are well aware of the fact that gun control is a political death sentence. Put these two facts together, and very few Republicans will jump ship. Certainly not enough to pass a bill.

But let's just suppose but a bill is passed and signed into law. We all know that tighter restrictions are akin to registration. We all know that registration leads to confiscation. The end goal of all gun control is... control. The desired result of gun control is a disarmed public... subjects.

But how will the subjects be disarmed?

The Rifleman supposes that there will be a certain percentage of the public who will willingly turn in their guns. Should it ever come to Civil War, these are the folks who need to be shot immediately, as they are traitors.

The rest of the disarmament will happen through confiscation. The rest of the confiscation will be carried out by one of three entities - local law enforcement, alphabet agencies (FBI, ATF, etc.), or the military. But how did these three entities stack up? Will they actually perform the confiscation, or will they honor the Constitution?

Alphabet Agencies (FBI, ATF, etc.)
We already know that these organization are, at least 80% thrown in with the Left. Their problem will be man power - they just don't have it. Look for these agencies to use harassment techniques, and pinpoint gun owners one by one. Constitutional rights and due process mean nothing to these agencies, so look for them to gladly help with confiscation.

Local law enforcement
The Rifleman suspect that this group is pretty close to 50-50. There are many good LEOs. There are also more than enough jack-booted thugs, leftoid creeps, and power hungry statists in the ranks of local law enforcement. As an example, the sheriff of Broward County, Florida (or is it, Coward County?)

The typical local law enforcement officer who would be in favor of gun confiscation is not going to have the patience are precision to do pinpoint targeting, like the alphabet agencies. Look for these groups to organize SWAT teams, and the like. Granted, the good LEOs may not pitch in to help on me, but that is not certain. How many times have we seen a good cop stand by and do nothing while a bad cop broke the law?

The military
The military, as a whole, will be about 80% thrown in with the Right. I do not believe that the majority would allow themselves to be used in gun confiscation endeavors. Sure, there are a few bad apples here and there in the military. But the majority will uphold the Constitution, broadly speaking.

Civil War
If it does come to Civil War, just remember the following -
I: Stand your ground...
II: Do not fire unless fired upon...
III: If they mean to have a war, let it begin here (Defend Yourselves!)...
IV: When war is begun, go find something Evil and kill it...
V: Traitors first...

Dick's is Being a Dick

Dick’s, Major Gun Retailer, Will Stop Selling Assault-Style Rifles

One of the nation’s largest sports retailers, Dick’s Sporting Goods, said Wednesday morning it was immediately ending sales of all assault-style rifles in its stores.

The retailer also said that it would no longer sell high-capacity magazines and that it would not sell any gun to anyone under 21 years of age, regardless of local laws.

The announcement, made two weeks after the school shooting in Parkland, Fla., that killed 17 students and staff members, is one of the strongest stances taken by corporate America in the national gun debate. It also carries symbolic weight, coming from a prominent national gunseller.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes him to change his tune. Notice how it is almost never the founders of companies who ever do anything this stupid? It's always heirs and infiltrators, which tends to demonstrate that those who do not create businesses may understand how to work the internal machinery and manage the processes established, but they lack an inherent understanding of why and how the business exists in the first place.


Of course, Dick's pulled a similar dick move in 2012 after Sandy Hook. And they  paid a price  for being a dick. One of these days, sales will drop so much, they will no longer be able to dick over their customers.
