Rhetoric Vs. Dialectic

Rhetoric
The art of effective or persuasive speaking or writing, especially the use of figures of speech and other compositional techniques.

Language designed to have a persuasive or impressive effect on its audience, but often regarded as lacking in sincerity or meaningful content.

Synonyms: oratory, eloquence, command of language, way with words

"a form of rhetoric"

Dialectic
The art of investigating or discussing the truth of opinions.

Synonyms: discussion, debate, dialogue, logical argument, reasoning, argumentation.

"Science has of course contributed to this dialectic"

Summary
Use rhetoric when debating a person caught up in passion. When logic will fall on deaf ears. When people are overly emotional. On Twitter.  On Facebook.

Use dialectic in formal debates, blog posts, and professionally published articles.  Do not use dialectic in an argument with an overly emotional person.

Use a little of both when teaching, lecturing, and giving speeches.

Why Moslem

Why does The Rifleman use the word "Moslem," instead of the more often seen "Muslim?"

1. It drives #Libtards crazy.

2. It is more linguistically correct.
The Rifleman's friends who hail from that area actually pronounce the word "Moslem." Of course, The Rifleman could actually give two shits about this reason, see #1 above.

3. It is the classical spelling.
Read works by Heinlein, Etc. It is written as "Moslem." But again, The Rifleman could actually give two shits about this reason, see #1 above.

Do Jiu-Jitsu

The Rifleman was observing the other day the children these days are not allowed to fight. And this may not be a good thing. Back when we were growing up, we knew where everyone stood. Boys, particularly, need to know where they stand in the pecking order. Sometimes, fighting is part of that.

Boys today, in a fit of rage, will attack someone bigger, stronger, and more skilled than they are. The Rifleman cannot recall that happening, as a child.

When, in that fit of rage, the boy has decided to bully someone bigger, stronger, and more skilled than they are, they are somehow surprised when things don't go their way.

Punches, kicks, and takedowns, are all part of fighting. However, for the Youth who has trained in the martial arts, they can be well defended.

The mounted position is the most advantageous position in a fight. For one thing, the person on top can hit his opponent, while the opponent cannot effectively hit back. For youthful practitioners, the mount can be used to frustrate the opponent... no strikes are needed.

Sometimes, when a bully gets the tables turned on him and is under the mount, he will try to grab the groin, or bite. Pinning his arms can be an effective way to keep him from doing any damage. If he continues to struggle and will not concede, a little bit of pressure on the neck can make him intimately aware of his reality.

Sadly, defeating a bully who is younger, smaller, and less skilled, brings no satisfaction to the defender. However, one must realize that the effective use of martial arts to prevent ones attack or from being harmed is worthy of celebration.

Parents of a defeated bully, yelling at a child who is not theirs, that he should come to them if the child needs punishment, is quite comical. Had they been parenting their child to begin with, the whole thing would have been avoided. And if a youth is sharp enough to actually mention this to that adult, then more power to that youth.

Parents of the victorious youth, who stand near their own, while the bully's parents yell and scream, demonstrate wisdom in so doing. It would be unfortunate if the bully's parents elected to engage an actual bullying behavior of their own. Being prepared to handle it, and being present come up while not spurring on any conflict, is a wise decision. Don't agitate the situation, unless absolutely necessary.

Learn jiu-jitsu. Have your children learn jiu-jitsu. The rifleman's son is nicknamed Ninja. The Rifleman did not give him that nickname. Final rule of thumb - don't pick on kids whose nickname is Ninja.

4 - 0
0 punches thrown.
0 chokes applied.
0 arm locks applied.
4 victories via frustration.

At Least A 4 Crazy

This story relayed to The Rifleman by the head of security at a different Church.

So, sometime back, right about the time my pastor announced that he was divorced, a new lady started attending church. At one point, she told the pastor they got it spoken to her in a vision, telling her that she in the pasture should be together, and be married. The pastor laughed it off.

However, the security team was made aware of this. We kept eyes on her. And for a while, everything was okay. Then, however, at a church event, her behavior grew quite peculiar. She was telling the pastor's kids that she and their dad would be married that day, she was taking every opportunity to try to put her hands on him, and other out-of-the-ordinary behavior. She was asked to leave, and never to return.

Naturally, she came to the very next church service, the following Sunday. We, on the security team, radio to one another to advise that she was there. Our outside guy approached her and advised her that she was not going to be permitted on the premises, and that she should leave right away. She refused, citing that she wanted to hear it from the pastor.

Security team members stood in front of the door that she attempted to walk into. She tried to reach around them to open the door, unaware that the door had been locked from the inside, and a wall of volunteers we're standing in front of the door on the inside, as well. She tried digging her fingernails into that security team member. She tried going around to the other side of the church, but was headed off at that door, as well.

Eventually, the police were called. Eventually, she left. Perhaps the best line of the day was when she was trying to get in the side door. She reached around behind the security volunteer, trying again to reach the handle. Little did she know that the handle was locked, and there was a wall of volunteers on the inside of that door, as well. Given the angle which she reached, her hand slid across the concealed gun worn by our security team volunteer. He gently removed her arm from the area, and stated, " if you put your hand on my gun again, things are going to get very interesting..."

The look on her face when he said that is one I will never forget.

Heh. Must have been the full moon, or something. The Rifleman and our safety team at GVBC hope to never have to deal with anything as crazy as this. Further evidence that they are all at least a 4 crazy.

Reunion

In February of this year, the Rifleman's wife, CareBear, learned she has a sister she had never been aware of previously.  The MIL had a baby out of wedlock in 1969 and gave the baby up for adoption. Sadly, my MIL took that secret with her to the grave 3 years ago.

Last year, the mystery sister took a DNA test through Ancestry.com. it just so happened that CareBear's uncle had last year, as well.  The match came back. Of course,  there was a bit of digging because the MIL had kept the secret well.  But everything checked out.

Last weekend, it was arranged that the new sister would meet her biological family.  Meeting in the Tri Cities area because it was roughly in the middle, the mystery sister was reunited with CareBear, and two of three other siblings.  It was something you'd see on TV. A wonderful meeting.

Not surprisingly, mystery sister's BF is a big gun and prepper guy.  Yes, we got along famously.

Mass Shooters and the Heirarchy

Sadly, a man in Nashville opened fire on Waffle House patrons this past weekend. Four killed and several more wounded. Of course, #Libtards were quick not to let a tragedy go to waste.  However, gun control here in Tennessee is unlikely.

As friends discussed this on Twitter, the Rifleman commented that only a gamma or omega would have done this.  This generated a request. This post is the result of that request.

First, let's recall the sociosexual heirarchy. It had been suggested that the shooter was a Delta male at best.  While this comment is completely accurate, the Rifleman holds that only a Gamma or Omega would have committed such a crime.

Why?

A Delta is an average guy.  80% of the men you meet are Deltas.  Deltas know their place in the hierarchy, and seldom stray from it.  They will avoid activities that lead to emotional pain.  And emotional pain is a leading contributing factor to mass shootings (along with factors such as psychotropic drugs and fatherless homes).

A Gamma is someone who experiences much pain. As a secret king - they think they are Alpha, yet they totally fail to obtain Alpha results. Because the failure to obtain results results in pain, Gammas are close acquaintances with pain. Here is a post detailing how Vox Day agrees with this thought process.

In the comments of the above linked post, most are saying either an Omega or a Gamma was at fault for that shooting. The Rifleman can give you an easy way to tell: if the suspect has been dumped or cheated on, he is a Gamma. If the suspect has only been rejected - and has never been in a relationship - then he is more likely to be an Omega.

From the heirarchy post:
Too introspective for their own good, gammas are the men who obsess over individual women for extended periods of time and supply the ranks of stalkers, psycho-jealous ex-boyfriends, and the authors of excruciatingly romantic rhyming doggerel. In the unlikely event they are at the party, they are probably in the corner muttering darkly about the behavior of everyone else there... sometimes to themselves. Gammas tend to have have a worship/hate relationship with women, the current direction of which is directly tied to their present situation. However, they are sexual rejects, not social rejects.

Omegas are the social losers who were never in the game. Sometimes creepy, sometimes damaged, often clueless, and always undesirable. They're not at the party. It would never have crossed anyone's mind to invite them in the first place. Omegas are either totally indifferent to women or hate them with a borderline homicidal fury.

As more information comes out on the suspect, we will learn which ranking is more accurate.

New Found Ability

This past Saturday, The Rifleman taught a pistol class to a group of a dozen Patriots. Of this group, there was but a sole Patriot with whom The Rifleman had not made their acquaintance previously. In other words, almost all of these Patriots have had a class with The Rifleman previously.

Despite occasional rain, and even downpours, the class went very well. Every Patriot was able to make significant strides forward in their quest to become better marksmen and to become better at their pistol craft.

One Patriot, in particular, stood out among the others to The Rifleman. No, she was not the best shooter of the day - there were a couple of participants who have had extensive training and practice prior to the class. No, she was not the worst shooter of the morning starting out - in fact, she has had this class twice before.

No, this Patriot, @Heather3per on Twitter, crossed over into the realm of being a really good shooter, from the realm of being a decent shooter.

She started the day with her carry gun - a Sig P938. This is the same model that the Rifleman's wife carries, as well. It is a small pistol with limited magazine capacity, and a short sight radius. However, it is well built and easily sturdy enough to withstand the rigors of a 200 round Tactical Pistol class. @Heather3per noted early that the magazine Springs were very stiff, and it was very difficult to load rounds.

As the day wore on the stiff magazine springs came to bear. @Heather3per was getting tired, and the cold and the rain did not help. She brought these things to the Rifleman's attention a couple of times throughout the day. To be fair, the Rifleman would have taken these as complaints from a lesser person, but since @Heather3per has taken several classes, her issues were noted seriously.

In the early afternoon, she notified The Rifleman that she may have to go ahead and stop because her hands were getting too sore and tired to load the magazines. The Rifleman drew his Sig P320 and offered it as a replacement. @Heather3per had been noticeably wearing down in the drills prior, but something sparked in the drills immediately following.

She had been getting good hits all day, with the occasional thrown round, here or there. Once the larger pistol was in her hand, she realize she was able to print very tight groups. It was at this point that a transformation could be witnessed. No longer was @Heather3per "trying" to hit a target, now she was hitting whatever target she wanted to hit on command.

In fact, she ran through the final assessment, and added to her degree of difficulty buy intentionally making headshots from every position. Only one head shot was called for, the rest of the positions called for a body shot, as they are a bit easier. But, @Heather3per had found her stride.  She willed the pistol to do her bidding. If she wanted to make a headshot, by God she was going to make a headshot.

It was a work of art to witness her make this transformation. Her confidence was through the roof, as well it should be. A transformation had been made, and she seemed to revel in her new-found abilities. The switch had been thrown.

You can do this too, fellow Patriots. The first thing you need to be able to do is practice your Marksmanship, such that you can print a 4-inch group from standing at 7 yards. Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything. And, ironically, if you wish to be able to shoot faster, you need to be able to shoot more accurately. Speed is a side effect of accuracy.

Shot Heard Round the World

April 19, 1775. It's an important day in American history.  Here's a take on it by Reid Henrichs of Valor Ridge. And here are some more facts from that day:

700 redcoats (uniformed military on colonial British soil) march on British cities of Lexington then Concord, to capture local agitators John Hancock and Samuel Adams, and seize as much powder and ball as they could. A local community organizer spread the word, then delayed the advance when captured, by telling the soldiers they would soon be confronted by an equal force. Paul Revere.

An aged old farmer and mechanic, and British war veteran, suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis and near death, called up the local militia to discuss options. This was Captain John Parker. The militia were training bands of able bodied men between 16 and 50, to be ready at a moments notice to defend the community. Not every man was to report, there were exceptions. Arrangements varied from town to town, but generally each member was required to have a good and sufficient firelock, bayonet, 30 rounds of powder and ball, pouch and knapsack. They were required to train twice a week, and were paid one shilling for every day of service. Defending the British Crown during the French & Indian War, many towns called them minutemen.  Their origin goes back to the 1650's, a hundred years prior. Older men between the ages of 50 and 70 were on the 'alarm list' and were held in reserve. After 1 am the local dairy farmers began to muster around Lexington Common (aka Green). The town of Lexington defied Congress and did not raise a company of minutemen. Lexington stuck with the name 'training band'. The force that gathered on the Green that early morning was a traditional New England training band.

By 4:30 am on the Green, no more than 70 militia faced over 700 British regulars. One of the militia told his captain: 'there are so few of us, it is folly to stand here'. The captain replied: 'the first man who offers to run shall be shot down'. Followed by his now famous words: "Stand your ground! Don't fire unless fired upon! But if they want to have a war, let it begin here!" The British regulars continued moving forward and began to shout their distinctive battle cry: "huzza! huzza! huzza!" The sides were no more than 70 yards apart; some said as close as 40 yards. The militia captain ordered his men to disperse and not fire. Amid much confusion, the militia slowly dispersed, but did not lay down their arms. Three or five British officers rode up quickly, and one, pistol in hand, ordered them to disperse. He was believed to be Major Pitcairn. Paul Revere was escaping in the distance, heard a shot. It sounded like a pistol, but he wasn't sure, and he didn't know who fired it. He looked again and the militia had disappeared in a cloud of white smoke from the British regulars. Eight militia killed, ten wounded (most bayoneted) . Two British wounded. Nearly everyone, British and colonial, agreed the first shot did not come from the militia or the rank and file of the British infantry. Who fired the 'shot heard around the world'? Generally believed to be an unnamed British officer on horseback.

Paul Revere didn't see two lanterns in the tower of the North Church. He had them hung there, after he witnessed the British arriving by boat. The two lanterns alerted the Sons of Liberty, a loosely put together communication system designed by Revere to alert the countryside. When Revere started his famous midnight ride through the countryside, what did he proclaim? Clue: it wasn't; 'the British are coming, the British are coming.' Paul Revere proclaimed 'The Regulars are coming, the Regulars are coming.' In Massachusetts,  the colonists considered themselves British. He never would have said 'the British are coming'.

Not Buying It

The Rifleman learned a few days ago that Star Wars: The Last Jedi has come to market for purchase. Up to this point, The Rifleman has purchased every Star Wars movie that has been produced. This one will be different.

If one looks online, one is bound to see so many people exhorting this movie as being "better than you thought it was." That should tell you enough right there. The movie is a steaming pile of dump, meaning that if it is "better than I thought it was," it is only a different type of excrement.

The sole redeeming segment of the entire movie was Yoda saying, "the greatest teacher, failure is." Sadly,  a single accurate koan does not salvage the rest of the work.

Feminism and SJWism destroy everything they come into contact with. Sadly, even the venerable Star Wars series is not immune. The Rifleman might go and watch Solo: A Star Wars Story this summer, in an attempt to give the series one last chance. But the Disney corruption is on thin ice...

All I Needed to Know

Seen on the interwebs:
All I really need to know, I learned from Red Dawn (the real one):

Interaction with communists too early in the morning is never good.

Always have a gun in your truck.

It's already loaded.

A little preparedness, planning, and experience goes a long, long way.

You can piss in a radiator.

Conflict amongst your peers is inevitable, and should be sorted out as quickly as possible.

The 4473 and gun control in general, is a crime against the people of this nation perpetrated by communists, for communists.

Even when things are at their worst, good people will be willing to help, even if they cant actively participate.

Information isn't just power, its also essential for morale.

If you have the option, stay away from town.

Its OK for men to cry....When their father is a political prisoner of communists.

Prepare your children to avenge you.

There are certain turning points in life where a decision you make, means nothing will ever be the same again.

"Living here" does indeed impart rights that others are not guaranteed.

If you can AK, do.

Be like Robert. Always be like Robert. It will keep you warm.

One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.

There is a list, and if you've lived a life thats worth a fuck, you're already on it.

Communism / Socialism are particularly nasty ideologies and have been the breeding ground for mass murder world wide.

Warrior women are a blessing, if you can tame one.

Pilots are sarcastic, and damn good people to have around, even when there are no planes that need to be flown.

Career politicians are traitors to the people who entrust them with their votes. So are their kids (fuck you Daryl).

You are going to lose people you love along the way. Honor their memory.

Brothers and family, always. It means way more than you think it does, and isn't just about blood.

If you're gonna die, die fighting (be like Robert).

Its OK to cry when Jed and Matty die. They died well.

Someone has to live.

People will remember the good you do, long after you do it.

Math is Useful

On social media,  this video clip was posted.  Jerry Miculek shoots a target at 1000 yards with a 9mm handgun.

A keyboard warrior chimes in:
I've seen the video.  I still call bullshit.
It's an ammunition ad.  He's talented as shit, but there's no way.
"I had to aim 80 yards above the target."
Barrel is near parallel to the deck when he takes the shot.

The Rifleman was asked to give his opinion:
If you understand MOA then you can appreciate that from 1000 yards away, 75-80 yards above isn't going to look like much from there. What say you, Recce Rifleman?

The Rifleman gives a response:
Using Trigonometry, the tangent of an angle is equal to the opposite side divided by the adjacent side.  Using 80 yards elevation and 1000 yards distance, and solving for the angle with an arctangent,  the angle would be 4.57 degrees. Barely perceptible muzzle rise.

Using the published data for that 9mm load, and inputting into a ballistic calculator,  the drop would be 2822 inches, or about 78 yards.  Jerry Miculek's stated holdover is correct.

Ammo Link
Muzzle velocity = 975
bc = 0.212
Assume sighted in at 25 yards (common for a handgun) and red dot height above bore is 0.75".

Racial Burn

From social media:
50 years ago our greatest citizen was murdered while fighting against the white supremacist ideals of our Founding Fathers (and, Abraham Lincoln). For, they too, had a dream. White supremacy wasn't a scientific or theological dictum, but a clever choice made by clever people to hide their great sin. King died fighting to make this nation what it had never intended to become. He was unfavored and forsaken, yet he's been reframed and recast. Many within our nation have essentially lynched his legacy and rested his severed head upon the lie of American moral inevitability.

Our sense of national exceptionalism (or, supremacy) blinds us to seeing the nature of what ails us. Thus, making the collective, creative capacity of our nation inoperable. It's not too late to set aside the lies of old (and, anew) to fight to heal what has long since been broken. "When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me."

Reply from one of this person's friends:
I just think this is hilarious.
You are one of the whitest black people out there. You went to a private school, grew up in a white middle class neighborhood, and have had every opportunity any white middle class person has.

Oh wait... maybe that's what you have a problem with: not as many handouts and freebies.
Lmao

Quotas and More

From a reader:

Dear Recce Rifleman,
I got the privilege to spend 4 hours in a driving class recently. The purpose of the class was so that I could get a ticket dismissed off of my record. My employment requires a clean driving record, and although one ticket certainly wouldn't have posed a problem, I wanted to take advantage of the fact that Tennessee allows you to have the ticket removed if you take the driving class.

I made some observations in the class which I think you would like to add to your blog. First and foremost, the class was taught buy an officer in the municipality where I was awarded the ticket. Since you also have libertarian Roots, let me reassure you that for hours spent with an officer certainly makes you think about the phrase that shiny badges do not grant extra rights.
[Editor's note - see meme above.]

Since I know that you like statistics, I kept some good statistics that I jotted down from the class for you. There were 38 people scheduled to take the class. 37 were there. 29 people were there for speeding tickets. The rest were there for a ticket called "failure to exercise due care." Of the people who were there for speeding, all of them had exceeded the posted speed limit by at least 14 mph. For many of these speeders, this class would not remove the ticket from their record - it would only get the speeding charge reduced.

[Rifleman's note - The Rifleman drives 50,000 miles per year, on average, in the course of business. The Rifleman keeps his speed close to the posted speed limit. The Rifleman has never been pulled over for speeding on the job.]

The tickets for failure to exercise due care had been issued for a variety of reasons - but the most common one was cell phone usage. Evidently, the texting while driving penalty in Tennessee is pretty stout, but the officer cannot prove it without a warrant. Instead, This municipality, as well as many others, will issue tickets for failure to exercise due care if they see someone playing with their phone. Yours truly was not playing with the phone, but simply caught the GPS unit when it fell down from the dash. The officer in my case felt that was enough to warrant a distracted driving ticket.

[Rifleman's note - sounds like filling a quota to me.]

The officer mentioned several times in the class how he was against the fact that the state of Tennessee is about to legalize cannabis. He cited some statistics from Colorado that I have since been unable to locate. For your libertarian readers, I know what they would feel about this. I thought it was just the officer being disappointed because he would be able to write fewer tickets, and get fewer arrests.

As for quotas, one participant asked him if the police have quotas. Naturally, he cited the fact that there is a law specifically forbidding quotas. He then goes on to explain that each group of police officers where he works is greater than 5 categories. Among these five categories are arrests and interactions with the public (which includes traffic stops). He had stated not 2 minutes prior that the chief kept very accurate stats, and that roughly one in four of their traffic stops resulted in a citation.

[Rifleman's note - sounds like a quota to me.]

Of course, all of these interactions and arrests were played off as keeping drugs off the street. The officer mentioned several times that his chief one of their officers to interact with the public more often, so that they could preach this message of safety. Me being the libertarian, I tended to see right through that into the heart of the matter.

Regardless of my personal interpretations of things, the fact of the matter is that the two things the officer spoke most about in a negative sense were speeding and cell phone usage while driving. And, frankly speaking, that was why virtually everybody was in that class that day.

Those were the facts. This part is about things that were somewhat disturbing. First of all, the officer pointed out, correctly, the fear of punishment is a major deterrent to crime. He flat-out stated that he felt that if a 12-story jail needed to be built in town, then so be it. The fact that local codes would forbid such a tall structure notwithstanding, he went from a point of logic to a point of complete irrationality. I, along with most Libertarians, feel we are already over policed. His statement did nothing but fuel my feelings on this position.

The second disturbing comment that I noted had to do with his feelings on cannabis, which I've already alluded to. He stated that he didn't care what the studies ship show, he feels it should be illegal. He went on to say that even if cannabis was legalized in Tennessee, he would find other ways to arrest the potheads.

The third disturbing comment was actually a series of comments. On multiple occasions, this officer pointed out that if he wanted to make an arrest, he could find a way to do it. This goes in hand with what I said earlier about being over policed.

The Rifleman's thoughts on this:

Rifle Class Ammo

The Rifleman is planning on taking a rifle class (big surprise, huh?) soon. Tuition has been paid, it's just a matter of buying ammo.  This class will go over close fighting, all the way out to mod range.  And herein lies the problem...

1000 rounds of precision ammo would be costly.  "El cheapo" ammo will not hold good groups at range. Changing between the two in a fast paced class may prove problematic.  What's a Rifleman to do?

The solution will be an ammo that is more accurate than typical 4 MOA "el cheapo" bulk, but not too much more expensive.  A range test would be needed to demonstrate that the ammo is accurate enough. Also, we will look at current cost of purchasing 1000 rounds.

For this evaluation, 10 rounds were slow fired from 100 yards. The rifle wore an ACOG optic.  Each picture has the resulting group, and the ammo name and weight.

The Hornady 55 grain FMJBT did well: 1.47" group. This ammo is $26.99 per box currently... which puts it at $591.73 for 1000 rounds.

Frontier 55 grain ammo had surprising accuracy.  Most bulk 55 grain ammo is 3 to 5 MOA.  This ammo shot just under 2 MOA. The price was right, as well: $7.99 per box, which means $441.45 for 1000 rounds.

Federal American Eagle 50 grain JHP rounds shot very well - 1.5 MOA. They were the most costly at $10.99 per box, which comes to $605.33 for 1000. The only concern with this load is that it would be the most susceptible to wind drift at longer ranges.

Hornady Black 62 grain ammo costs the same as the Federal American Eagle - $10.99 per box / $605.33 for 1000. It shot much better than most 62 grain ammo: 2.3 MOA compared to normal 62 grain stuff at 4 or 5 MOA. The worst group of today's loads, but far better than most 62 grain offerings.

In the end, the Rifleman chose the Hornady 55 gr FMJBT. It was consistent,  and has a proven record.  The Frontier ammo is very interesting: essentially a Hornady bullet sitting atop a Lake City 5.56 mm cartridge.  If only it had a proven record.  More tests coming!

Not Oppressing Foreigners

Recently, many #Libtards have been "quoting the Bible" in attempts to convince the Right to accept illegal immigrants. As usual, they twist the scripture to suit their purposes. The verse quoted is Leviticus 19:33-34 (HCSB) -
“When a foreigner lives with you in your land, you must not oppress him. You must regard the foreigner who lives with you as the native-born among you. You are to love him as yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt; I am Yahweh your God."

This angle is wrong for three reasons:

1. The verse refers to legal resident aliens.
This verse does not deal with invaders who come to your country illegally. The verse clearly is speaking of legal immigrants and resident aliens, if one were to use the modern vernacular.

2. The Bible rewards immigrants who assimilate to your country's culture.
Illegal immigrants are here to invade. Legal immigrants are here to adopt our culture as their own.
If a foreigner resides with you and wants to celebrate the Lord ’s Passover, every male in his household must be circumcised, and then he may participate; he will become like a native of the land. But no uncircumcised person may eat it. The same law will apply to both the native and the foreigner who resides among you.”
Exodus 12:48‭-‬49 HCSB

3. The verse has nothing to do with government handouts.
"You must not oppress him" is not the same as "you must give him welfare." Furthermore, the Bible commands we must take care of our own families first:
But if anyone does not provide for his own, that is his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
1 Timothy 5:8 HCSB

Of course, the angle that's never spoken of: #Libtards hate the Bible. They never quote it unless they have ulterior motives. Don't believe them.

Submissive Wives

Came across this meme a while back. This is the first of two major that are affecting young people, families, and our society of late. So many young men do not know how to be men. They don't know how to lead. They don't know how to provide stability. The young men of today would do well to spend time learning how to accomplish these tasks.

The second, and equally as important problem, is that young women have been raised incorrectly. They try to challenge the few men that will provide stability and lead. This is not their place. They know it. And so many suffer from mental illness because of it.

Since submissive wives lead happy lives, the question becomes how should a young lady behave, if she wishes to be a submissive wife? Here are some suggestions...

When you put these principles into place, you will find that you are behaving like a lady. This is a skill that sadly is not a major part of our society anymore. And what is the result?

When Led By Children

Why do you really think the Left and their lapdog media are trying to fast-track getting the guns out of here? Once the Left realized that so many people don't believe the #FakeNews media - particularly since the last election, they haven't pushed their progressive agenda as far as they thought they had.

The Left has lost the previous effectiveness of the media so now they are more or less forced to opt for more censorship. They know now they're going to have to make bold desperation moves once they get back into power. The Democrat Party thought they were going to usher in socialism during the last 8 years, and Bernie Sanders took the payoff because of this.

It makes you wonder if the Democrats told Bernie to sit down and shut up. Perhaps gave him some money (remember the Ferari and the three houses) and told him: "we're not quite ready yet. We're going to get socialism in, but you can't be telling people that yet. Its too early. "

The Dims honestly thought Hillary was going to win the Presidency. They were going to act like the country has problems because of the supposed racism that the Trump vote brought out. So they were going to straighten out the country. They were going to try to change what you can and can't say. They were going to use Trump and the people who followed Trump as an example and teach them a lesson. **Then** Bernie was going to help lead a huge youth socialist movement, this youth socialist movement would be portrayed as kids telling us how to be, kids taking us to school on fairness, and kids taking us to school on what's right.

In other words they were going to use kids and the youth socialist movement to try to make us feel like we've been doing it wrong. That move it was probably going to take about the first 3 or 4 years of Hillary's presidency.

Now what we're seeing is the Dims doing the same youth movement but they are using gun control. They are moving forward with the same plan - but since Hillary didn't get elected they couldn't elevate Bernie to his position and they couldn't usher in the Socialist movement the way they wanted to. So they're utilizing the same type of manipulation of the youth they have been planning to use all along, they have simply had to alter the plan.

All these young people you see screaming and yelling were supposed to be screaming and yelling for socialism under a George Soros and Democrat party fueled and completely state-run media.

Now they're using "and a child shall lead them" campaign.  You also see " look at all the wisdom of the young people - we should be ashamed." Make no mistake, this is a dry run for the Socialist Party to come.

Arcadius and Honorius were the emperors of Rome during the critical events leading up to the sack of Rome in 410. Arcadius was 18 when he became Eastern Roman Emperor. Honorius was 9 when he became Western Roman Emperor. They are widely regarded as weak rulers, due in no small part to their youth. We must not similarly fail.

Gun Control + Diversity

London has overtaken New York City in murders. According to the article linked, it was the first time in modern history that this has happened. Surely there are many contributing factors. However, two factors, in particular, brought this murder rate up more than the others:

Immigration.
The immigrants do not share the same values as the British citizens.  One of the values the immigrants clearly lack is that for human life. Or, as Vox Day puts it: diversity + proximity = war.

Gun control
Yes, the murders via knife are on the rise. Because people cannot fight back, much less fight back with guns, the murder rates will only continue to increase.  Bad guys have no motivation to stop killing.

Gun control + "diversity" = death.

Betrayal

Lefty has written a very good series of notes on a Good Friday service we attended.  Some of the notes that stand out to the Rifleman:

People are fickle. One day they said “Hosanna in the highest,” and one week later they said “Crucify Him!”

Jesus never asked questions to get information. He asked questions so others might understand.

Betrayal is incredibly personal and painful.

Jesus called Judas “friend.” Knowing what lay before Him during the next several hours, Jesus truly showed the grace of God.

The Rifleman knows betrayal.  There's a good chance the readers here do, as well.  What hurts about betrayal is its always someone who was close to you.

A Rifleman

As posted on YouTube by Reid Henrichs of Valor Ridge, here is what a Rifleman is:

A Rifleman can place accurate hits on targets at close, medium, and far range.

A Rifleman takes care of his rifle first, his equipment second, and himself last - in that order.

A Rifleman knows his rifle and his capabilities.

A Rifleman knows his holdovers, his zero, and his ammo.

A Rifleman knows how to assume positions - traditional and unorthodox - sitting, kneeling, standing, prone, fetal, rollover prone, and any combination thereof.

A Rifleman knows how to manipulate his rifle, how to keep it running, and how to fix stoppages in the moment.

A Rifleman keeps his rifle clean and loaded at all times.

A Rifleman can make hits in all conditions: windy, rain, snow, sleet, etc.

A Rifleman is always prepared - mind, body, and spirit - to defend himself, his family, his community, and his nation.

A Rifleman is the backbone of this great nation.

Empty Tomb

When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so they could go and anoint Him. Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they went to the tomb at sunrise. They were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone from the entrance to the tomb for us? ” Looking up, they observed that the stone — which was very large — had been rolled away. When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man  dressed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; they were amazed and alarmed. “Don’t be alarmed,” he told them. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has been resurrected! He is not here! See the place where they put Him. But go, tell His disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you to Galilee; you will see Him there just as He told you.’ ” So they went out and started running from the tomb, because trembling and astonishment overwhelmed them. And they said nothing to anyone, since they were afraid.
