No Pizza For You!

Your humble blog author got a lesson in socialism early in life. This would all but guarantee that I would not become a socialist.

I was in elementary school at the time. Pizza Hut had just introduced its Personal Pan Pizza. That would make it about 1983. My mom bought Personal Pan Pizzas for me and my brother, and brought them to us for lunch, while they were still hot.

Other children saw this, and quickly a line formed. There must have been 30 children in line. Every child wanted a piece of pizza.

Now, the Pizza Hut Personal Pan Pizza has four slices. Had I given a single child a single slice, it would have been no big deal. However, if I had given everyone a slice who wanted one, there would have been none left for me. Not only that, there would have been no pizza for the vast majority of the children in line.

And that's the problem with socialism, you eventually run out of other people's money.

Globalist Scum

A few days ago, former President Bush had some words against current President Trump.

Naturally, it was just sour grapes as Trump beat George's brother pretty badly in the election in 2016. The irony is Bush said nothing during the eight years Obama turned America upside down.

So here is the #MaulRight take on it:

And then we have this:

As for Mr. Trump,

He's too busy actually fixing shit and standing up for America.

About Those Single Moms

From social media, an article was shared that detailed an opinion: "affordable housing is a national crisis and so are poverty wages." Naturally, the conversation went to two inevitable opinions:
1. The minimum wage was designed to be a minimum living wage.
2. Single mothers having a hard time making ends meet.

Let's look at some pertinent facts regarding these opinions.

Regardless of whether the minimum wage was designed to be a minimum living wage, it never will be unless the government engages in overall price fixing. Futhermore, if minimum wage is your career objective, then you are not planning well for your future.

Most - the vast majority of - single mothers are single by their own choice. If they cannot afford it, perhaps their choice was poor. Doesn't mean we need to legislate something.

Gun Longevity

Really good post about barrel life and longevity of parts and guns.

Read it.  Learn it.  Appreciate it.

Comment of the Week

New section: Comment of the Week.
This is the initial entry.

On social media, the story is (yet again) about a female teacher having sexual relations with a teenage boy. This comment was on point:

Remember it's an "affair" or "romantic relationship" when the sexual predator is a woman but a "rape" or "sexual assault against a minor" when the predator is a man.

Either it's statutory rape, as what the law says (albeit more lenient for female rapists) for both sexes or it's an inappropriate "romantic relationship" for both.

Unless we're officially making special considerations by calling the female sex, as a whole, retarded and in need of special protections, this double-standard needs to go.

Fascinating Numbers

THE PRESIDENT’S CABINET

These numbers help explain why these last eight years were disastrous for the USA. I read the last item and then look at Trump's Cabinet. No wonder Washington, DC is in a turmoil.
Trump's picks are bosses who expect their employees to work.

This is what bothers a lot of people about Trump. He won't accept a can't do attitude, or inexperienced, incompetent performance. He will get results; it just might not be smooth or pretty.

Here are some amazing statistics :  Make sure you read to the bottom.  An eye opener!
I. These 10 States now have more people on welfare than they do employed!
1. California
2. New Mexico
3. Mississippi
4. Alabama
5. Illinois
6. Kentucky
7. Ohio
8. New York
9. Maine
10.South Carolina

II. Last month, the Senate Budget Committee reports that in fiscal year 2012, between food stamps, housing support, child care, Medicaid and other benefits, the average U.S. Household below the poverty line received $168.00 a day in government support.

What's the problem with that much support? Well, the median household income in America is just over $50,000,which averages out to $137.13 a day.

To put it another way, being on welfare now pays the equivalent of $30.00 an hour for 40 hour week, while the average job pays $24.00 an hour.

III. Check the last set of statistics!!
The percentage of each past president's cabinet who had worked in the private business sector prior to their appointment to the cabinet.
You know what the private business sector is: A real-life business not a government job.

Here are the percentages:
38% T. Roosevelt
40% Taft
52% Wilson
49% Harding
48% Coolidge
42% Hoover
50% F. D. Roosevelt
50% Truman
57% Eisenhower
30% Kennedy
47% Johnson
53% Nixon
42% Ford
32% Carter
56% Reagan
51% GH Bush
39% Clinton
55% GW Bush
8% Obama
90% Trump

This helps explain the bias, if not the incompetence, of the last administration: ONLY 8% of them have ever worked in private business!

That's right! Only eight percent - the least, by far of the last 19 presidents! And these people tried to tell our corporations how to run their businesses?

How could Obama, president of a major nation and society, the one with the most successful economic system in world history, stand and talk about business when he's never worked for one?

Or about jobs when he has never really had one? And, when it's the same for 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers? They've spent most of their time in academia, government, and/or non-profit jobs or as "community organizers."

Probably a good idea to pass this on, because we'll NEVER see these facts in the main stream media, or from the alphabet networks.

Revoke the Man-Card

From this article,

The problem for men is that there are no good women left since feminism has created a sea of entitled, worthless, bitter women that no man needs to take a risk on. And there are loads of manginas who enable these women, by going on social media and worshiping them with ‘likes’ and, “Oh gurl you’re so hot” even if the chick is a 5 or a landwhale. If you do this, you are part of the problem—propping up the egos of women who don’t deserve it.

Enter this recent copy & paste Bookface quote:

Me too.

We all know that we’re not the only one. But even I am so saddened by the number of women I am friends with who I see have gone through this too in their life. I love you all.

If you are a man, you should never click "like" on this status or any like it.  If you have, you need to promptly turn in your man-card, assuming you haven't turned it in already.

Wrestling Vs. Judo

In this YouTube video, the YouTuber explains why more Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners are turning to wrestling for takedowns than turn to Judo. Of course, BJJ has takedowns and throws, but many BJJ schools don't teach them, or don't cover them very often.

1. Risk Vs. Reward
When considering an opponent who can and will take your back, wrestling takedowns are low risk, high reward.  Judo throws are high risk, high reward.  Many Judo throws require you to turn your back. Turning one's back is inadviseable due to the risk of being choked.

2. Learning Curve
There is less of a learning curve for takedowns vs throws. Proficiency can come much faster.  Also, the subpar comparison: someone with subpar takedowns will still likely take down an opponent who has subpar takedown defense.  A person with subpar throws will likely fail to throw an opponent who has subpar throw defense.

3. Judo rules are prohibitive.
Recently,  Judo banned takedowns such as double legs, single legs, and the like. Yet, these takedowns are commonly seen in BJJ tournaments, submission grappling, MMA, and in actual combat.

4.  The Judogi.
The gi grips - which are required for virtually all Judo throws, are simply not there in nogi situations. Wrestling takedowns can be executed on an opponent who wears a gi, and on an opponent who wears no gi. No tweaks needed.  Judo throws will require tweaks to use on a nogi opponent.  Oddly enough, those tweaks will come from wrestling.

5. Intensity.
Most Judo clubs don't train as intensely as do most BJJ and wrestling clubs.

As for me: I know the Judo throws, but I do not claim a high level of proficiency. I practice takedowns and takedown defenses in every class.  Throw defenses come naturally as a part of that.

Toxic Masculinity

A quick Google search of "toxic masculinity" yields a plethora of information and misinformation. Generally, though, most liberal sources associate the following with the term: dominance, misogyny / devaluation of women, extreme self-reliance, the suppression of emotions, homophobia, and violent tendencies. Let's dig into these!

Dominance
According to numerous verses in the Bible, the man is the head of the house. Women naturally seek a dominant male as a spouse.  Ephesians 5:22 will be a good starting point.

Misogyny / devaluation of women
Women and men are different.  One is not greater. One is not lesser.  Men and women think, act, and communicate differently.  There is research proving these and other differences. Of course, the mere mention of differences outside of one being greater than the other is immediately labeled misogynist and alternately, devaluing of women.  Not so.

Extreme self reliance
Of course. Because modern socialist liberalism thinks everything needs to come from the government.  Ironically, they don't realize the government is the ultimate "Big Daddy" providing everything in their lives.  It's the ultimate symbol of patriarchy. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 says this: For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."

Suppression of emotions.
Liberals will use the word "suppression" here in a negative connotation. A better description would be "making decisions based on fact rather than feeling." James 1:19, 20: My dearly loved brothers, understand this: Everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger,  for man’s anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness.

Homophobia
The Left uses the term homophobia - fear of homosexuality. Again, they twist things.  The real description is "doesn't approve of homosexuality." Romans 1:26-28 is a good start.

Violent tendencies
Humans are a violent species. Most experts agree that finding a productive outlet is far more effective than trying to repress the urges, only to have them boil over. Martial arts, shooting, and the like are normal and natural outlets.

Therefore, I am gladly #ToxicMasculinity

Zinger

In 2006, your humble blog author found himself at a town hall-style meeting, where the US Senate candidates for Tennessee were debating. On the Republican side were Bob Corker, Ed Bryant, and Van Hilleary. The sole Democrat candidate, Harold Ford, Jr., sent a representative in his stead.

Each of the guests at this town hall meeting were permitted to write down to potential questions for the candidates. Not all questions were chosen, but your humble blog author did get the opportunity to ask his question to the candidates.

The question: " Given that there is a demonstrable correlation between tax reduction and elevated tax revenues, and given that the US budget is in deficit spending, what are your plans to reduce taxes?"

Harold Ford, Jr. representative - "We are in deficit spending, and the only way to get out of that is to raise taxes on the rich."

Ed Bryant - <<<Lays out a plan to cut specific taxes that harm the middle class the worst.>>>

Van Hilleary - " You are right there is a correlation between reduced tax rates, and increased tax revenues. If it is a tax, I seek to reduce or eliminate it."

Then it got fun...

Bob Corker - "Where are you from, sir?"

Usagi - "Chattanooga is my hometown, sir. But I currently reside here in the Nashville area."

Corker - "Then you are familiar with all the good I was able to accomplish for your hometown..."

Usagi [interrupts] - "Actually, I escaped in a balloon before you demolished the place."

<<< laughter in the room >>>

Midget-man Corker tried to stare a hole in me.

Gay Christian Wants Acceptance

Found this article shared by a supposed Christian friend on social media. One cannot read the whole article without subscribing - which I do not recommend. The part that can be read is posted below :

I Never Became Straight. Perhaps That Was Never God’s Goal.

This is not a story of being gay and becoming straight.

But maybe I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s rewind to the beginning. My parents met at a gay nightclub in San Francisco. My mother just wanted a safe place to dance. My father was the security guard. He abandoned my mother and me after abusing both of us physically. I didn’t even know he existed until I was 10, by which time my mother had remarried.

Growing up, I had no bedtime I can remember. I was allowed to watch horror movies at a young age. When it came to sex, nothing was hidden. There were jokes and stories and, when I was 10, I helped my mother clip images from an adult magazine for a bachelorette party.

At 14, I met my first boyfriend. We laughed at each other’s jokes, watched similar shows, and got along easily. But before long he and I broke up, as teenagers do.

A year later, I met my first girlfriend in an AP European history class. She was a senior, beautiful and popular. Since I excelled in the class, she asked me to come over and help her study. When we met at her house, something was different. Conversation flowed easily, rapidly, unexpectedly. I was struck by her beauty. The attraction felt like what other girls described feeling for a boy.

Over the next week, I began wondering, “Is it okay to feel this way about a girl?” I was vaguely familiar with the notion that church folk condemned such things, but as I tried puzzling out why, I came up empty. Little could I imagine ever understanding the Bible’s teaching on sexuality, let alone submitting to it.

The First Kiss

I set myself a goal: Before this girl went to college, she would kiss me. I lied about my sexual history, placed myself strategically in her path, and ...

Observations -

Big surprise, you detail daddy issues and chaos in upbringing, and you turn out to "be gay." There's is not a single more attention seeking schtick than open gayness. A life lived seeking attention and order in youth will result in greater lengths to seek attention and order once grown. And this article snippet details that perfectly.

This is in a Christian publication. The Christian Church is at the center of the cultural war. On one side are the globo-homos and their agenda. On the other side is Western Civilization as a whole.

Lemonade Stand

Some people, when describing their luck in life, use the phrase: "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all."

Upon observing my personal luck being orders of magnitudes worse than even that, my brother nicknamed me "Lemonade Stand" when I was in high school. The logic goes like this:
1. "If life hands you lemons, then make lemonade!"
2. Well, you've been handed so many lemons, you've got the whole lemonade stand!

Hence this new entry in the blog.

First up - just a few weeks ago, I replaced a couple of leaky faucets in the house. This, I've done before. But a few weeks ago, we got the opportunity for lemonade!

The new faucet in the kitchen broke within a week! Sadly, I didn't have the box or receipt, as I've never seen this happen before. Fortunately, the retailer allowed me to return it as hey had logged the purchase and I could identify it. A new faucet, and I was set.

Except the new one broke within moments of installation!

Again, I take it back. I get a replacent. This one has worked for three plus weeks now. And yes, I still have the receipt.

Piledrivers, Not Politics

I don't miss the NFL. Last night, I watched the WWE Pay Per View event, Hell In A Cell. No NFL for me, as is the case with so many people I know. The "take a knee" foolishness is the reason.

Perhaps the reason that some players take a knee is in protest of the issues of police brutality. Nobody wants police brutality. The issue of police brutality is not as big an issue as is being made of it. And kneeling during the national anthem only appears as disrespectful to those who have served our Nation. So, the protest is poorly constructed and poorly executed.

As with so many others, if I were to make such a political statement on the job, I would expect disciplinary action, up to an including termination of employment. Since no football players have been disciplined to date, we must work under the premise that the owners are complicit in these actions.

On the other hand, the WWE has not politicized their programming. Certainly, there's always a heel (bad guy) who is from another nation and uses that to increase the strong emotions against him - and that wrestler is Rusev. But that's not so much political as it is showmanship. In fact, it plays off the natural Nationalist sentiments that most Americans feel.

Those who criticize WWE as entertainment for reasons of it being "fake" usually have no issue watching a movie, and they rarely see the irony. Similarly, if you think NFL games aren't fixed, then I hate to be the one to tell you... but they fix many games. Oh, and Santa Claus isn't real, either.

Otherwise, if WWE isn't for you,  that's fine. There are plenty of other distractions in life. To each his own.

Update: article name changed. Lefty had a better name for it.

Friday on Vegas

Folks, read this meme and read it well.  Your humble author is pretty decent with a rifle... but this would have been a tall task.  A tall task indeed.

Have you seen the videos circulating that show other shooters engaging the crowd? There's more here than meets the eye.

#Libtards Abound

A friend shares his thoughts on Vegas and gun control.  Posted with his permission.

My brothers and sisters, let me tell you about my morning. I walk into work this morning and get bombarded by people wanting to fight about gun control.  Well crap I just want to drink my coffee for a minute.

I know I don't need to tell you all this but people are stupid when it comes to this subject. First question - why should the shooter be allowed to own so many guns? Answer, to my knowledge he purchased them legally and never been in trouble to prevent the purchase.

Why should someone be allowed to buy an automatic gun?
Reply - you can't just go buy a full auto.
Counter - yes you can because Gander Mountain sold them before they went out.
Reply - they sold automatic weapons?
Counter - YES they did I saw them .
Reply - you see this is what is wrong with the left. You are so uneducated on the subject, you want to spew out about things you are dead wrong about. Terms like semi automatic and automatic are used you all you hear is automatic.

It seems I get this crap all the time from these people because I am open about my feelings about America , freedom and guns. I walk in everyday with my EDC with a medical kit strapped on it. They just see me as a gun toting nut.

Folks - it's a never ending battle against The #Narrative .

No Loophole

After the massacre in Las Vegas, "entertainer" Jimmy Kimmel went on an emotional rant against the 2nd Amendment on his show.

Yes, the same Jimmy Kimmel who advocates that his daughter needs Obamacare, even though he is a millionaire with an option for group healthcare coverage.

His 9+ minute sermon was laced with #Libtard talking points and fueled by raw emotion. Naturally, it was very short on fact.  Specifically for this post, Kimmel said there are "3 loopholes for background checks" - private sales, online sales, and gun shows.

Private sales are exempt from background checks (as they should be) in most places.

Online sales are not exempt from background checks.  A gun ordered online must be shipped. Federal regulation requires a firearm to be shipped to a licensed gun dealer.  Federal regulation requires that for the firearm to be transferred (sold) to someone other than that dealer, a Form 4473 be completed and a successful background check performed.

Now, if someone posts an online add for a gun, and the buyer and seller can meet locally, a face to face transaction can occur via private sale where permitted. But this is not an online sale.

Third, the so-called "gun show loophole." Again, if a gun is owned by a dealer, then to be sold, we are back to the Form 4473 and a successful background check performed. And again, if one private individual has a gun at a gun show, and wishes to sell to another private individual, then that is permissible in most places.

So, again, the #Narrative is chock full of lies and misleading statements.

Vegas

What happened in Vegas did not stay in Vegas.

I'm not 100% sure what the truth of the story is at this time, but the truth is seldom all that closely related to the Official Story.

Mass killings are almost universally stopped by masculine men with guns.

No motive for a massacre in America after 24 hrs means the motive was most likely liberally motivated.

Hillary Clinton is a blight on the Democrat party, and she's par for the course among #Libtards .

Despite the moaning and wailing from the Left, the NRA did not pull the trigger.
