No Going Back
A woman files for divorce (they do over 75% of the time). But later, she drops the suit, saying she wants to reconcile. How to proceed?
Recall this article.
THERE IS NO GOING BACK!
The minute a person files divorce against you, they have no desire to get back together, I don't care what they say. They want to hurt you and they want to use the court system to do it. Any attempt at amicability should be viewed with extreme suspicion. Expect anything you say or do to be used against you. Expect them to lie about you in court.
If they drop suit, you should counter-file. Its that simple. They dropped the nuclear bomb, not you. It's just your job to finish the job. And, if you're a pastor, it has nothing to do with not having your house in order.
Marriage as defined by the modern US legal system and marriage as defined by the Bible are two totally separate entities.
The trust is broken - you would be sitting there wondering when she was going to change her mind again.
ReplyDeleteNever go back. Accept that what you had is gone and move on.
