East Tennessee State University released head coach Brad Irwin in 2021, after a sub-.500 season. Irwin led the team to a winning season and the playoffs just the year prior.
The successor, Belinda Hendrix, was fired a year in, due to allegations of "mental abuse."
The interim coach is now Cheryl Milligan.
How do they stack up?
Irwin (2021): 15-22
Hendrix (2022): 8-47-1
Milligan (2023): 15-37
The grass was clearly not greener.
Full disclosure, Brad Irwin was this author's brother in law for over 20 years. We first met in 1995 or so. Have had many Holiday meals with him, our kids are cousins, etc.
