Blast From The Past

Recently, this author found an old flash drive. Careful investigation showed some things that had been forgotten. Old training manuals, old notes from firearms classes taken long ago - as far back as 2008! None more recent than 2011. 

It's amazing to see how much things have changed, as well as how much things remain the same. 

Also, subconsciously, as this author is constantly refining the curriculum for Patriot Training classes, it is interesting to see and remember the foundations of what lessons are critical and why. This reminder has been most welcome and

This author has many preppers for friends, due to obvious reasons . One of the topics that comes up often is comms in an emergency situation. I have decided the hill I will stop on is local comms - as can be had via normal handheld walkies or similar. To get more range, ham radio is about the only civilian option, and I will NOT be going that way.  It is a protest. And this is why .  From the tweets : "I hate to be discouraging, but I must remind everyone that even in a time of emergency, unlicensed operation is against FCC regulations.
