Reader Poll
Let's do a reader poll. This author has come across the items to become a YouTube content creator. Would you still like to see stuff in print, or would you prefer a switch to YouTube?
Clearly, there would be some things better for video, that would not be printed here. Likewise, there would be material posted here that would not be on video.
So, what say you? YouTube centric or blog centric?
Both obviously.
ReplyDeleteBlog centric -I object to Youtube simultaneously defunding and censoring content they don't like and interrupting the video with adverts. Often the adverts are longer than the video contents.
ReplyDeleteUnless you specifically tag the youtube content as being available for display on other sites and embedding the thumbnail here so that it can be viewed without the adverts interrupting the narrative.
Bayou Renaissance Man here. I'd say blog-centric, but then I would, wouldn't I? :-)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I'm simply not prepared to waste time watching a video when I can read the same content in half the time or less, and think about it as long as I wish. I find TV shorts indigestible for the most part.
I'm blog centric. The written word. Youtube is great for those times when "don't tell - show!". Even if it just photographs "with circles and arrows and a paragraph" under each one...
