Little Bit 'O' Fame

Recently, a buddy of mine was photographed for a body armor ad. Photography was performed by the incomparable Oleg Volk. In fact, you can see the work at Volk's blog.

The funny part that I see is the crossed rifle patch front and center on his chest rig in this picture. I awarded that to him when he shot "Expert Rifleman" in a marksmanship clinic that I taught last year.

This author has many preppers for friends, due to obvious reasons . One of the topics that comes up often is comms in an emergency situation. I have decided the hill I will stop on is local comms - as can be had via normal handheld walkies or similar. To get more range, ham radio is about the only civilian option, and I will NOT be going that way.  It is a protest.
