Perseverance of the Saints: reality vs. claims.
Calvinists misrepresent their beliefs... a lot. They say that the "P" in TULIP (Perseverance of the Saints) means that once someone is saved, they are always saved. However, that is not what Calvin wrote about, and is certainly not the intent of the P in TULIP.

At first glance one would think that John Calvin taught that eternal security of the believer is based on God's efforts alone, but upon closer inspection of other Calvinistic writings we find Calvin requiring the works of man as proof of his "election."
It is clear from Calvin's writings, he felt that works would persevere. We know that this is not necessarily the case.
