Gun Doggy Day Care

Over a dozen times, a friend or family member has come to me and asked if I could keep a firearm safe for them. The reasons have varied. I have a "no questions asked" policy. Why might someone need to store their gun elsewhere? - Restraining order. - Charged with a crime. - Pending divorce or other high stress situation. - Having kids over to their house and they don't have a safe. - Letting someone stay with them who might take it for nefarious purpose. - Mental and / or emotional health considerations. - Home has been destroyed by fire, tornado, etc. - Many other circumstances, far too numerous to name. If a friend or family member is intoxicated, I would much rather buy them an Uber or go pick them up than to risk a DUI or preventable accident. There is absolutely no shame in asking me to help you in that situation. By the same token, if things aren't 100% safe for there to be a firearm in the house of a friend or family member, I would much rather do ...
