Paying it forward
Back in 2007, my brother was laid off from his job. His income that year was in the mid-$30k range. He asked me for help getting a job. I offered some help: not only in job hunting strategies, but in salesmanship in general.
Last year (2011), he earned over 4 times the amount of income he'd made in 2007.
OK, good for him, you say (but you don't really mean it).
Well, how about these apples:
He helped 7 people in 2010 and 2011 make job moves that increased their respective incomes 25% or more.
Yes, I had asked him to help others when I gave him the help.
