Be Able to Accept Criticism

A reader wrote in and said that this blog is "too negative." Well, if you think honest assessments are negative, then who am I to argue?

Nevertheless, the Bible states in Proverbs 15:31: "One who listens to live-giving rebukes (we might call that "constructive criticism") will be at home among the wise."

Therefore, in an effort to be wise, if a potentially "negative" post, tale, story, etc. needs to be published, I will also offer a positive one in return. Stay tuned this week for more.

This author has many preppers for friends, due to obvious reasons . One of the topics that comes up often is comms in an emergency situation. I have decided the hill I will stop on is local comms - as can be had via normal handheld walkies or similar. To get more range, ham radio is about the only civilian option, and I will NOT be going that way.  It is a protest. Bright Light!

A friend posted this on Social Media recently, and this hits close to home.  When an asshole has those super-bright LED lights and I high-beam them back, they will often high beam in retaliation. As if to say "I'll show you some real high beams!" The irony - my eyes are already hurting - their "high" beams don't hurt worse.  But now the asshole's eyes are hurting, as well. If I gotta be in pain because of your illegal activity , then you will be in pain, as well. I've accepted suffering as part of my life. Now your feels and your eyes must also live with momentary suffering.  And, for those wanting to challenge the above statement of "illegal activity" - please peruse this .  "... but shall not project a glaring or dazzling light to persons in front of the headlights..."
