What Decides Elections?

Raphael Warnock "defeated" Herschel Walker in the Georgia senate race last night.

"DEFEATED"

Cue the typical sissy-Right claims:
  • "We needed a better candidate!"
  • "It's Trump's fault - he needs to get out of politics!"
  • It's Mitch McConnell's fault - he wouldn't support a Republican candidate."

True - McConnell needs to go. But he is not why Republicans lose. Republicans lose because of the type of people who elect a McConnel. They are sissies. They do not go all-in on mandating Voter ID and prohibiting mail-in ballots and ballot harvesting.

In 2006, Phil Bredesen won the Governor's race in Tennessee with "68%" of the vote. In 2012, Tennessee passed decent voter ID laws. Since then, the closest race was when Marsha Blackburn, a terrible candidate, "only" garnered 55% of the vote in 2018, against a "well loved and admired" Phil Bredesen! Typically, the Republican garners 63% - 65% of the vote in a statewide race.

Florida used to be decided by less than 3% margins in statewide races. They banned ballot harvesting, tightened controls on mail-in ballots, and mandated voter ID. DeSantis wins with 60% of the vote in 2022 after these changes take place. Rubio, the terrible candidate, still garnered 57% - the same 3% that the margins magically used to be decided by!

So, I leave you with this:
