Walk Across the Road, Already!

The Rifleman went on vacation last week.  Myrtle Beach, SC was the destination.  It was a good week, and not only did we have fun, there were several learning opportunities for my children,  as well. 

At one point, we were driving through town towards our restaurant for supper.  Traffic was slowed ahead.  As we waited out the slowdown, it became apparent that the cause of the slowdown was a couple of geese taking their sweet time crossing the road. 

I admonished the children that the geese had best be careful... some drivers would not slow down for them. 

On the way out of town Saturday morning, we saw two dead geese in the road... one was still kicking a bit.  The children remembered what I had said and they noted that I was right.  Again. 

At that moment, we also discussed people who walk across the road like that.  And we talked about people who try to protest in the road.  A point was made.
