A special Birthday

Today is a special birthday.

It is Super Mario's 25th Birthday.

Having played all of the Super Mario games (and beaten all but two of them), and having a son who enjoys these games today, this is worthy of note.


To all my geek friends, yes, I know Mario appeared in games prior to 1985, but Super Mario Bros. came out in 1985, hence the birthday.

This author has many preppers for friends, due to obvious reasons . One of the topics that comes up often is comms in an emergency situation. I have decided the hill I will stop on is local comms - as can be had via normal handheld walkies or similar. To get more range, ham radio is about the only civilian option, and I will NOT be going that way.  It is a protest.
