OK, so it was in the mens' restroom at a restaurant in Cleveland, TN, and not on the side of the road. Funny still:

Things Found on Side of Road: Bristol Motor Speedway For the record: I made sure there were no cars coming, and came to a complete stop to safely take this picture. I liked how large the stadium looked, even from nearly a half mile away. I really liked the clouds on that day. Thought about taking pictures up close, but will save that for next time. :) .

Some time ago, it was raining out, and the temperature was below zero. I took these pictures of the ice that formed in the tree and on the antenna of my car. .

The other day, I saw a Car-B-Q: (actually, it was a dump truck)  You could see the smoke a half-mile away: The poor guy on the side of the road here is the man I presumed was driving the vehicle: The driver had to stand very far away because of the heat. I could feel the radiant heat inside my car.    This thing was on fire! Note: All pictures were taken when my vehicle was at a stand-still due to the traffic. .

I need to go to the Flippin Drug Store! My friend, Right Minded, likes to collect pics of historical markers. I, on the other hand, like to collect funny pics of things on the side of the road. Let's see ya outdo this, Right Minded! :)

Random cattle (or horse, maybe?) feed bags - top was orange, bottom was white. Don't know the brand. Just piled up on the side of the road. .

Seen on the side of the road some time back as I went for a jog: About a half-dozen Hispanic men working on and around a roof that needed repairs after recent storm. A chihuahua dog comes running up. Just struck me funny. .

"Things Found On Side Of Road:" A 12-pack case of Mountain Dew. Unopened. Middle of two-lane highway. Highway 30 - between Athens, TN and Decatur, TN. So, technically, this wasn't the "side" of the road.

From the "Things Found on Side Of Road" files: A sign read: "Drive slow and see our beautiful town. Drive fast and see our judge."

This week I spotted a sign at a place that does oil changes. It read: "Sign man too lazy - come inside for message."

Near my house, there was a hand-drawn sign advertising a yard sale. It read: "Hugh Yard Sale" I don't know anybody nearby named Hugh, but he must be important if his name belongs on a yard-sale sign!

Things found on side of road: A cement mixer, sans the truck that should have been under it.

For an interview, I saw a truck bed-liner. No truck. Just a bed liner, propped up against the concrete retaining wall in the middle of I-40, around mile marker 216 - near the Briley Parkway exit. Also, a 10-point buck that had fallen from the bed of a pickup. It had been harvested this morning. The driver had failed to put the liftgate up. He was struggling to get the deer up into the bed of the truck again. The buck looked to be well in excess of 120 pounds.

A dump truck was overturned into somebody's yard. It had spilled asphalt in the yard. A nearby backhoe was salvaging the asphalt into another dump truck.

Several dozen empty egg cartons. Several dozen empty yogurt or sour cream container. No eggs - no yogurt - no sour cream. These were just containers.

Two weeks ago, I was in Detroit visiting clients. This provided an opportunity to find things on the side of the road. I did. Situation: I was meeting a client for lunch. I was driving around, looking for a parking place that did not require change. I did not find one. My problem was, that I did not have any pocket change on me. Solution: look on the side of the road. I found two dimes. That sufficed.

I will be starting a new series on this blog: "Things found on the side of the road." Or "TFOSOR" In my travels in my previous position, I many interesting things just laying on the side of the road. In my current position, I see strange things sometimes. I think these things are funny, and I hope my readers will, too. This week: - A bag full of clothes. The clothes had scattered all over the shoulder. - An office chair. The bottom 5-point spines that had the wheels was separated from the main part of the chair.
