A Tale Of Two Pauls

Ron Paul & Rand Paul. The father-son duo. One a self-proclaimed Libertarian, the other a self-proclaimed "Libertarian-ish."

Tonight was the Joint Address by President Trump. How the Pauls reacted was markedly different.

Ron Paul, as he has been for a while, was totally off his rocker. Remember, this is the same Ron Paul that colluded with Democrats to derail Fred Thompson and Alan Keyes in the 2008 Republican primaries... ensuring that a liberal nominee would win the Republican ticket.  in 2012, Ron Paul performed a repeat performance - assisting liberals in ridding the Republican field of true conservatives Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich.

Some of Ron Paul's tweets:
Protect against "radical Islamic terrorism"? Can't do it until you understand concept of Blowback! Non-intervention would make us safer.

Of course, the non-intervention we have had the past 8 years really worked well, huh?

Great wall on southern border? Hopefully not to keep us in. Reduce incentives to illegally cross and change foreign policy! Problem solved!

This smacks of conspiracy theories.

Strong vetting system - is it a step to a Real ID card -- an attack on our civil liberties and privacy protections.

Vetting immigrants is not the same as mandating citizens carry papers.  And you know it.

On the other hand, Rand Paul was much more realistic and amenable:

School Choice is vital. I have authored legislation to allow federal funds to follow the student #JointAddress

Lower cost. More choice. Better health care. I have a plan to do it.  #FullRepeal #RepealAndReplace #Jointsession

I applaud the appointment of Judge Gorsuch and agree the Senate should move forward on his confirmation soon #JointAddress

Both men offered solutions to perceived problems.  Rand Paul's take the form of legislative proposals.  Ron Paul's take the form of "Unite? Yes we need it! Libertarians and progressives should unite to stop the wars!"

Yes.  He wants to (again) unite with Progressives.

More #fakenews

Last week, the #fakenews "press"  was barred from an off camera briefing.

Reporters for CNN, The New York Times, Politico, The Los Angeles Times and BuzzFeed were not allowed into the session in the office of press secretary Sean Spicer.

This is good. These outlets are the worst when it comes to #fakenews . They are the spoiled brat children who have always had their way, and now they are being told "NO."

Paul Joseph Watson explained it like this -

"Almost every one of these Spicer press conferences is mainstream media hacks trying to bait him into a slip up on identity politics. Boring." Says Watson.

Another take on it, this time from Lefty -

"This is what got banned from today's White House briefing. This is the #fakenews media (a.k.a. propaganda arm of the Democrat Party)." Says Lefty.

Clowns.
Propagandists.
#fakenews
Enemies.

All of the above.

This is no assault on the 1st Amendment. These outlets are still free to publish whatever they wish. Trump has no obligation to allow them access to anything. Trump is not shutting them down - he is shutting them out. There's a huge difference.

What Did You Want?

This one laments on social media that her ex is to marry a "20-something blonde," less than two years after their divorce.  Some thoughts:

You asked for this.
Women initiate 75% of divorces.  You did.

He is an idiot.
I'll agree, but not for the same reason.  He's an idiot because he got married again.

You're jealous #1
You've hit the wall, and you know it.  Being 40 didn't help. Gaining 50+ pounds since age 35 didn't help.  Looking 10 years older in the past 2 years didn't help.

You're jealous #2
He's happy and you aren't.

You're jealous #3
He has and you have not. How is that minimum wage job working out for you?

It didn't turn out like you wanted.
Divorce is not a life improvement for anyone, but it takes a harder toll on women. Yet, women engage in all sorts of divorce porn - the pedestalizing of divorce.  You wanted to hurt him - and make no mistake, you did hurt him - you just hurt yourself worse.  Divorce is a scorched earth policy.

Fake News And The Penalty

CNN  lied about stuff to create fake news. From the article:

While Judge Orinda Evans didn’t all out declare that CNN was peddling in falsehoods. She did take aim at the network in an initial judgment in favor of a former hospital CEO who sued CNN accusing them of purposely skewing statistics to reflect poorly on a West Palm Beach hospital. Davide Carbone, former CEO of St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, filed a defamation lawsuit against CNN after they aired what he claims were a “series of false and defamatory news reports” regarding the infant mortality rate at the hospital. CNN’s report said the mortality rate was three times the national average. However, Mr. Carbone contends that CNN “intentionally” manipulated statistics to bolster their report. He also claims that CNN purposely ignored information that would look favorable to the hospital in order to sensationalize the story.

ABCNNBCBS is #fakenews . They make up stories. They cite "anonymous sources" where none exist. They repeat erroneous information among one another.

The 1st Amendment guarantees free press. Not freedom from consequences of #fakenews .

Chest Rig Loadout

Chest rig. This is an example of a good chest rig / plate carrier option for the Modern Minuteman.

On the front of the chest rig are three velcro pockets, each holding two fully loaded AR15 mags. Above that on your right (Rifleman's left) is a utility pouch. This contains a flashlight, multitool, compass, and various small documents or tools. To your left are the gloves the Rifleman might use for entry work. On the Rifleman's left shoulder strap is the drinking tube for the hydration bladder and also the mic for the radio.

On the rear of the carrier is affixed a solid hydration unit. This one holds 2.5 Liters of water.

To the Rifleman's right, is a panel containing the fixed blade knife and a triple mag pouch. This Rifleman serves as a Designated Marksman, so these mags contain precision ammo.

To the Rifleman's left are the IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) and the radio.

Amputee Humor

Pops is an amputee. Fortunately, he's had a good  sense of humor about it.

Here are some photos I found of other amputees with a good sense of humor:

Funny stuff.

Ammo Review

Today we shall review some ammo that I tried recently.

Hornady 75 grain "Black" ammo.

Abstract
A box of 20 was to be had from Academy for 17.99 (plus taxes, of course). Cost was $0.90 per round. The allure is this: 75 grain match ammo from Hornady is often 23.99 to 27.99 per box in retail outlets. Of course, ammoatcost.com has 75 grain match ammo from Hornady for $14.39 per box of 20 (plus shipping and applicable taxes, of course) at the time of this writing.

Would this ammo be comparably accurate?

Facts
It is important to note that Hornady advertises this ammo as having a muzzle velocity of 2790 fps and a bc of .395 - both identical to Hornady Match.

If Hornady obtained the muzzle velocity from a 20" barrel, then I should have been getting pretty close, based on my setup of the day.

Setup
My rifle, "Lucy." She has an 18" SPR (Special Purpose Rifle) barrel from White Oak Armament. The barrel is free floated. She has a Geissele trigger. I used a Vortex Strike Eagle variable power optic set at 6x for this evaluation.

The Standard
Prior to firing the test ammunition, I fired a 5 shot  group using Hornady 75 grain match ammunition.

As usual, the 75 grain match ammo from Hornady yields a group of approximately 1 MOA. Of note: this optic is zeroed using 55 grain Federal American Eagle ammo. The Hornady match has almost exactly the same POI at 100 yards.

The Evaluation:
A 10 shot group of the subject ammo was fired from 100 yards.

The Point of Aim (POA) was the middle of the diamond. As you can see, the group seems centered about an inch right of the POA.

The group measured an inch and a half in maximum spread. 1.5 MOA is the result.

Notes
Precision is better handled with Hornady 75 grain match, Federal 69 grain Gold Medal Match, or any one of a number of heavy loads available from reputable manufacturers.

So is this ammo worth the price difference?
Ultimately, only you can decide. It is not as accurate as Hornady Match. It is about 25% less expensive. If you would use this for, say, deer hunting, it would make sense.

But it only makes sense if you only buy in brick & mortar stores and if you do not buy online. There's no way I'd pay more for this ammo when I could get Hornady Match for less at ammoatcost.com .

If you only buy at brick & mortar stores, this ammo has some benefit. I'd suggest Academy Sports as their prices are low.

New Tag - Mansplaining

New blog tag - Mansplaining. This is the definition:
verb
gerund or present participle: mansplaining
(of a man) explain (something) to someone, typically a woman, in a manner regarded as condescending or patronizing.

Since feminism has left our society to the point that people fall for every line of #fakenews without question. And since ABCNNBCBS has given up all pretenses of objective journalism and is doubling down on their lies. Stuff needs mansplained.

I'm here to do that for you.

Topic 1 -  Sweden
The headline in that #fakenews article - Riots erupt in Sweden’s capital just days after Trump comments. Problem is, violence (including many rapes) had already been happening there! Everywhere you see these moslem "refugees," you see this sort of chaos.

Yet the #fakenews was silent about this. Why? It's not as if this violence had just started. Roosh V blasted the media a year ago for their silence on the same. The media has been complicit in the rape of thousands of women.

Donald Trump doesn't want rapists coming here, yet the media would have you believe he's the misogynist.

Snowflake Tell

A "tell" in poker is a change in a player's behavior or demeanor that is claimed by some to give clues to that player's assessment of their hand.

So many snowflakes claimed to be offended by the phrase "grab her by the pussy."

Yet, nearly 50 million women purchased 50 Shades of Grey, and the response to the movie was similar.

Yet, a snowflake local to this blog wears a shirt to a political function that reads "you can pee next to me." Ah, this may be the tell right here.

Perhaps... the snowflakes want their pussies grabbed. They just have a fetish: the snowflakes want a man to dress up like a woman before grabbing them by the pussy.

Weird, but ok, whatever you are in to.

Failed Picks

What if, with the picks of Flynn and Puzder, Trump was actually trolling the left?

He knows the leftoid #fakenews of ABCNNBCBS   take the slightest bait - and then project and say it's Trump with the short fuse.

Or ... what if nobody is perfect? What if Trump picked individuals with flaws? Flynn was too leftist, and therefore he lied; and Puzder is too soft, and not fit for this type of work. If this is the case, isn't it much better for Trump to clear them out immediately instead of waiting five months like Obama did with the Hillary scandal on Benghazi?

Either way, this is why he is exactly who we need as President.

For The Record

This blog proudly supports the God-Emperor, President Trump.

Sniper Bag

A "sniper bag." This bag contains tools to help the sniper or Designated Marksman (DM) perform his duties more efficiently.

Disclaimer - in the American Martial Art, which is focused on homeland security, the actual position of sniper is almost completely unnecessary. A Designated Marksman will suffice more than 99% of the time - if for no other reason, because most engagements will take place well under 300 meters. And the situation where a modern Minuteman would need to take a 1000 yard shot is almost completely unfathomable.

So, one might call this a "DM bag."

In no particular order, here are the items in a DM bag:
* Hatchet (or shears) - for stripping away vegetation to construct a hide.
* Sniper veil - for concealment.
* Extra shemagh - for concealment and various sundry uses.
* Shooter sock - for steadying the Rifle (this pack has 2 - grey & black).
* 20-round magazines. This shooter loads precision ammo in 30-round mags as a standard practice. Having 20 round mags allows lower profiles when necessary.
* Range finder - to help determine distance.
* Bipod - for steadying the rifle.
* Woobie - can help in steadying and in concealment.
* Assault pack - can be used to steady the rifle, and can tote other important items.

Some Designated Marksmen like to have these things in a separate bag. This Rifleman prefers using the 2nd largest pouch in this assault pack for storage of these things. The woobie and second shemagh are stored in the primary pocket.

What about you? What do you have in your DM bag or sniper bag?

False Rape Accusations

We need to teach women to not make false rape accusations. They ruin lives.

Saying someone raped you when you regret having sex with them is a false rape accusation.

Saying you were raped to cover up the fact you were cheating is a false rape accusation.

Saying you were raped because someone asked you to have sex, you consented, then half way through decided you didn’t want to anymore and, if they stop, that’s a false rape accusation.

Saying you were raped when you had sex with someone consensually but you got mad at them afterwards and want payback is a false rape accusation.

Saying you were raped when you consented to sex while you were drunk and you were awake the whole time and the other person was drunk as well - and the next morning you regret it - is a false rape accusation.

Saying someone raped you when they did not is a false rape accusation.

Rape ruins lives. So does being falsely accused of rape. If you wouldn’t rape someone, you shouldn’t ever make false accusations either.

Ammo Review

Today we shall review some ammo that I tried recently.

Hornady 55 grain Spire Point ammo.

Abstract
A box of 50 was to be had from Academy for 27.99 (plus taxes, of course). Cost was $0.56 per round. The allure is this: 55 gr FMJ ammo is generally inexpensive, and because of that, is often stocked by folks who prep for SHTF situations.

Other brass cased 55 grain FMJ ammo could be had for $7 per box of 20 - or $0.35 per round. However, Hornady is known for making very accurate ammunition. Would this ammo be more accurate? And if so, would the increase in accuracy be worth the additional cost?

Facts
It is important to note that Hornady advertises this ammo as having a muzzle velocity of 3240 fps and a bc of .235. True M193 has the same velocity and a slightly higher bc - .243. Competing ammo listed comparable statistics.

The Point of Aim (POA) was the bottom of the rectangle. As you can see, the group seems centered about two inches low and about an inch right of the POA.

The group measured just a hair over 2 inches in maximum spread. 2 MOA is the result.

Most M193 clone ammunition is lucky to get a 4 MOA group. The Hornady is clearly the better choice for precise work.

The only drawback is that it did not retain the same or a similar POI compared to its 75 grain brother. So, if you plan to use this ammo at short range in conjunction with heavier Hornady ammo for long range, be aware of the shift.

Notes
If you shoot precision for fun and / or for sport, this ammo is probably not for you.  Handloading can yield the best results. I have found that Hornady 53 grain ammo is insanely accurate - under 1 MOA. It also holds nearly the exact same POI as the Hornady 75 grain ammo.

Precision at a distance is better handled with Hornady 75 grain match, Federal 69 grain Gold Medal Match, or any one of a number of heavy loads available from reputable manufacturers.

So is this ammo worth the price difference?
Ultimately, only you can decide. It is twice as accurate as regular M193 clone ammo. But it is also 60% more expensive. How important is precision to you for your bulk ammo?

Also of note, in Tennessee (where I live) this ammo would be legal to hunt deer with, due to the Spire Point. M193 clone ammo - FMJ or FMJBT would not.

Giving In

As this blog has pointed out before, Calvinism is the liberalism of the church. Well, it seems the main Calvinist denomination, the Presbyterian Church, has decided to prove it true.  A prayer to Allah was had in a Presbyterian proceeding.

Presbyterians do tend to be liberal. Liberals who go to Christian churches tend to be either Presbyterian or Methodist.

Tez Feelz, Or Not

I read this post a few days ago, and found it to be an accurate assessment. Rarely do I get bogged down with an emotion. And if I have an emotional reaction (and that's a big "if"), it's rarely the anticipated emotion.

I cannot recall the last time I felt nervousness or fear.

I felt more sadness from my mother-in-law passing away 2 years ago than I did from my own mother passing over 4 years ago. And even then, I was more sad for my wife and her pain.

Anger or hate? Last time I felt either was in 1987.

Happy / joy / glee? I'll get these a few times a year.  Mostly for my kids.  Most recently on January 20 with the ascension of the God Emperor.

Annoyance comes around a few times a year.  Mostly for idiots going out of their way to do something stupid that affects me or my family.

I will say from experience that stoic is a male virtue.  A tall, stoic man can do a lot of other things wrong and the women still will run off.  And if he does most everything else "right," according to game standards... well, let's just let the professional blogs fill you in on female reaction to that.

Take Your Training Seriously.

Folks, take your training seriously. This event happened to a student of mine some time back. This student had taken a pistol class from me.

*names, locations, and nonessential details omitted for privacy reasons*

Student was returning home. A criminal predator lay in wait for student, armed with a metal rod. As student exited the car and began to make his way into his house, the predator attacked. The predator struck the student with the rod, and again. Student was trying to get away and create space. The predator closed in and prepared for a clubbing overhead blow.

Student covered his head in a manner depicted in the picture above. Student drew and fired his handgun - of a common make and caliber. One shot, center mass. Predator attempted to continue the assault, but was quickly running out of steam... and then it was over. Police on the scene (many minutes later) judged it to be justifiable self defense.

Student would like to share:
"It's important to me that they [people who take training classes] take it seriously. I think the part that bothers me is I was half stepping. I was serious, but not all the way, but just enough to save my life... "

This & That

Recently, I participated in a "bug out" weekend. It was a simulation of a SHTF scenario. Here are some takeaways...

For cold weather,  the most important piece of kit was my field jacket. It was warmer than my sleeping bag.

A-TACS camo is good. During the day. At night, it stood out, from my perspective. Good stuff, but further camo purchases will be woodland for the time. Maybe it's time to investigate kryptek?

Baby wipes are good.

A woobie has many uses. Carry one.

I got within 41 meters of the vehicle check point without being noticed. So did my 6'2" 250 pound spotter.

On a night op, I moved forward at the team leader's command to observe and radio back details of our objective. When time came for the rest of the team to move toward the objective, they passed right by me. One finally saw me and yelled out "contact!" I had to remind him that I was not contact, I was his DM.

Work hard, party hard.

Not all family is blood.

Friends & family help one another. I gave help. I received help. I am thankful for the opportunity to help. I am thankful for receiving help. Sometimes you can help and you don't even know it. Sometimes help can take the simplest forms. That's what it's all about.

Even though we were in a distinctively rural setting, there was never a line of sight of more than 300 m. Most of the time, never more than 200 m.

Do Tax Dollars Fund Abortions?

This article, by HuffPost, has been shared frequently of late by liberals attempting to "prove" that tax dollars are not funding abortions. Let's see if their side can pass muster. See counter arguments below, any one of which completely destroys the assertions made in the article:

Argument 1 - #fakenews
Article is written by HuffPost. Enough said. Case closed.

Argument 2 - Financials
Go to Google and search for Planned Parenthood Financials. From 2015, they report total income of $1,146 Million. They report total expenses of $1,085 Million. That is a net income of (positive) $61 Million.

However, they also report government funding of $553 Million. Meaning, they would have lost $492 Million without government funding. The numbers are comparable as far back as you want to check.

Without government funding, Planned Parenthood turns a loss of $492 Million in 2015.

Even if they performed a single abortion, it would have been government funded. Planned Parenthood reported performing 323,999 abortions in 2015. Case closed.

Argument 3 - Helms Amendment
Some liberals argue that since the Helms Amendment was passed in 1973, that no US tax dollars have funded overseas abortions. This is clearly impossible since it has already been demonstrated that Planned Parenthood cannot afford to perform a single abortion - domestic or abroad - without US Government funding.

Business entities essentially operate out of a single business account - money goes in and money goes out. Naturally, they may use multiple actual bank accounts to accomplish this, but it is really quite simple to funnel money from one account to the next. Case closed.

Argument 4 - specific costs
I can hear the less financially savy liberals saying now: "well, they had a net operating positive income of $61 Million, couldn't that pay for the abortions, and couldn't that specific money have come from another source?"

Glad you asked.

The average cost for an abortion is $648 through 11.6 weeks. The price goes up as the pregnancy progresses. However, the range of prices is from $350 to $3500, depending on area, income, method, and other factors. As a very conservative estimate, let's use the $648 figure.

It is safe to presume that with such a wide range of pricing, and with it being income-based, that the cost of the abortion procedure itself is likely to be $648 or more. Actually, the safest estimate is to take the top figure - $3500 - and divide it in half as standard business practices often involve doubling the raw cost. That would be a cost of $1750 per abortion. But some women choose the pill, and it would likely be much less expensive, so maybe it evens things out. Maybe. So let's use $648.

At a cost of $648 per abortion performed, and multiply by Planned Parenthood's self-reported 323,999 abortions performed, and we get a cost of just under $210 Million. Let's call it $209 Million for the snowflakes out there who think I might fudge the numbers.

Remember that net positive income of $61 Million?  Yeah, that whole amount gets totally swallowed by the estimated $209 Million in actual abortion procedure & pill expenses.

But, let's suppose that they were all done via the pill (they weren't). Planned Parenthood charges at least $350 for the abortion pill. $350 per pill times 323,999 abortions is $113 Million dollars - well over the stated $61 Million threshold.

So, any way you slice it, Planned Parenthood cannot perform a single abortion without government assistance. Case closed.

Argument 5 - rhetoric
The final argument today will be one of rhetoric. Have you ever noticed that when the suggestion of ending government funding is made, one of the top responses is "women will be forced to seek unsafe abortions?" In other words, the liberals arguing know that tax dollars fund the abortions. They argue the rhetoric emotionally, forgetting that they are actually admitting to the grievance in so doing. Case closed.

Counter Point
It could be argued that since the US does not have a balanced budget, that it's not actually taxpayer dollars funding Planned Parenthood, and therefore, the abortions that Planned Parenthood facilitates. OK, fair. It's borrowed dollars, not actual taxpayer dollars.

Yet.

Who do you think will have to repay the debt?
Case closed.

Quickly Dismantled Liberal

Liberal moonbat - And our fears are confirmed. I know many of my Facebook friends are pro-life, and that is fine. I'm not here to fight that argument. But please read past the title of this post and you will learn that the U.S. has not given federal dollars to pay for abortions in other countries  (or even with out country) since 1973. What this order is doing is taking away support  other women's health services, such as birth control, STD and cancer screenings, etc. Pay attention, folks.
<<<link to #fakenews article about how the US "does not" pay for abortion despite sending money to Planned Parenthood>>>

Reply - How dare folks have to pay for their own goods and services.

Liberal moonbat - If healthcare was actually affordable they might be able to! But I guess that's another debate.

So, basically, the liberal Moonbat disproved their own argument right out of the gates. Even they don't believe their own propaganda... they just spread it to rebel.

Phony March, Phony Gods

Watching the events unfold of the planned, organized, and well-funded "women's march" left me with an observation.

In the Old Testament of the Bible, there were many false gods mentioned. However, three false gods got more press than the rest: Baal, Ashtoreth, and Molech. Volumes could be (and have been) written about these three, but let's sum up. Baal (meaning "lord") was the "supreme being" opposed to Jehova in certain areas. Other areas worshipped the god, Molech, and his consort, Ashtoreth.

Some will say Baal was Molech, or vice-versa. While that argument can be made, there is more evidence that they were contemporaries. Furthermore, most in demonology would contend that the three were all separate demons. On a practical view, Baal was to be worshipped instead of Jehova. Molech demanded child sacrifice. Ashtoreth glorified sexual sin - particularly whoredom and homosexuality.

And back to the "women's march." It would seem the women marching were protesting via three main components:

1. Rebellion to established government (President Trump).
These women marched against Trump. All of their accusations were false, of course. "#notmypresident" ring a bell?

This is similar to their rebellion to God.
This is the worship of Baal.

2. Sexual sin.
The women took pride in their whoredom. Many wore costumes resembling a vagina. They demanded free birth control so that they may continue to engage in whoredom. Many more present - men and women - celebrated their homosexuality.

This is the worship of Ashtoreth.

3. Child sacrifice
The biggest single unifying theme was the demand for abortion. They protested against Trump's defending of the international arm of Planned Parenthood. They protest so that they might be able to kill more unborn children.

Who Prays in School?

A #churchian pastor had this to say about why he was against prayer in schools:

We have come so far now if you allow prayer back in school you have to let Jews, Muslim, atheists and others pray to.

Here's a hint, my clueless friend, but first a point of clarification: Atheists don't pray.

Muslims can already pray in schools. Allowing prayer in schools is not suddenly going to permit this. They have bullied their way to this point. Since you and your spineless #cuckservative and #churchian friends don't get this, I'll spell it out for you real clear:
Let's use the government to bully the Christian way back into schools!

The other ways are already there.
