Parking Rage

A few weeks ago, my wife had follow-up reconstructive surgery. When she was dismissed from the hospital, I, of course, went to retrieve my car to pick her up. This is where the fun began.

As I put my car into reverse and checked to see if the coast was clear, another car realized I was backing out and decided they wanted my spot. Now this is not problematic, in and of itself. However, the driver's actions, were most certainly problematic.

The driver stopped her car directly behind my car. Had I and pulled out, my rear bumper would have struck her driver door and rear door.

So I waited patiently.

After a few moments, the driver realized I could not pull out, so she backed her car up. She backed her car up exactly three feet!

So I waited patiently.

She honked her horn, as if she wanted me to pull out. She also gave me an exasperated look. I look back at her and motion that I had no room to pull the car out.

So I waited patiently.

Again, she backed her car up a few more feet. Now her front bumper was even with my rear bumper. She honked her horn again, angrily.

So, I stepped out of my car, closed the door, and crossed my arms and waited patiently - looking right at her.

She rolled down her window! "You just don't want me to have this parking space because I'm black!"

I pointed at the front of her car, smiled really big, and replied. This is not a race issue, it's a stupidity issue! Where am I supposed to pull my car out?"

She rolled up her window, and drove away in disgust. Folks, these people vote. And they vote Democrat. And they often vote more than once at a time.
